Hungry Sumo

Simple can be good. In this case, simple is very good. Hungry Sumo has your happy sumo team fighting off the sad sumo team. Each sumo bounces around the map like a bubble, and each time they bounce into each other they, both lose a little mass.

Alone in the Park

A potential hero is going through his everyday life when he’s given a note. If he finds 9 pieces of a map, he can piece them together to find a treasure. While that sounds like a standard game storyline, in this case you have to add in about 300 tons of self-aware snark and dry sarcastic humor to describe the story here.

Sissy's Magical Ponycorn Adventure

Everything is sunshine and puppies here at Rabbitcon, so it’s only appropriate that we cover a game so sweet that it should send you into insulin shock. Sissy’s Magical Ponycorn Adventure is an adventure game written, drawn and voice acted by a 5 year old girl.

Public Transport Simulator

With a name like Public Transport Simulator, you would guess that this game is about managing trains and buses or hiring staff. Wrong. This game is about driving a tram along a track and transporting commuters around the track. Yet it’s fun!

Alphaland

Alphaland is a game where you are helping your friend test his new game. The new game is a platformer which the author says you can just “walk across the tiny test level and collect the power-up”. It quickly becomes apparent that there’s more going on here.

Cathode Rays

Compelling puzzle games are inherently physical. There’s the crowded field of examples on the iPhone thanks to Angry Birds’ success, but even more sophisticated puzzle games like Portal ultimately rely on our knowledge of the physical world and how it fits together.

Board games have a fairly intricate history with video gaming. Many of video game’s oldest genres come from board game roots. RPGs are steeped in D&D lore, for instance.

Warning: I get the impression that there may be epilepsy issues with some screens of this game. "Oh great," you're thinking. "Another overwrought and politicized work mocking modern consumerism. I bet you can't even win."

1916 - The War You Never Knew

1916 is a game where you play as a German soldier during WWI in the trenches, and you’re only given your orders on a slip of paper: “Find the Ladder.” As you head out into the trenches, you face gas clouds, bombs and artillery shells trying to get to the ladder and go over the top. Fairly quickly, you realize you’re not alone in the trenches.
