I was going to moan and groan about spending my weekend gutting and renovating my washroom but this week's release list has pierced my despair and left me with...well, a lot of games to play. Mind you, the bathroom isn't done yet so...yeah.
The big September flood of games continues this week with Burnout: Revenge leading the pack. The last one didn't see as much Xbox Live play in the community as I expected but with any luck the game lobby system won't be such a dog this time around.
"Labor Day is devoted to no man, living or dead, to no sect, race, or nation" Sounds like an opening to me! Welcome to Gamers With Jobs Day, I hope you enjoy the holiday Stan has provided for you and play games in his honor.
With this week's march into September we're officially out of summer and into the home stretch of the Xbox 360 release. We have months of speculations, hype, false information, pre-order scandals and more to look forward to and I hope here at GWJ we can maintain some small island of sanity in a sea of hyperbole.
Good Monday everyone, I hope your week turns out to be a good one! I know it's usually pretty taboo for web masters to share stat information publicly these days but since you don't even get user counts anymore, I thought a little info wouldn't hurt. We currently we have 1950 users registered, ten new users over this past weekend alone.
Interesting week to look forward to here. First up we have Madden 2006 for every console under the sun. According to IGN, it's less impressive than last year's and shows no real improvement, hurray for exclusive licenses!
Looks like we missed a Week Ahead while I was out on vacation and attending the GWJ Minnesota meet & greet. We had a great time and I didn't even kill anyone for endlessly talking about World of Warcraft although it was a close thing. Slow summer week for games ahead of us, looks like the Ghost Recon 2 Xbox expansion is our Game of the Week almost by default.
Very, very slow week for game releases. So slow in fact that there isn't much to talk about so we'll just jump ahead to some site stuff. We are now stationed with our new host and everything is looking good. They realized after we moved in they put us on one of their fuller servers which just isn't going to do at all if we want to maintain a solid level of performance.
We've got some site news to discuss today so we'll get the rest out of the way quickly. The Game of the Week is Pirates! for the Xbox since everyone loves pirates (the scurvy kind) and Sid Meier is dreamy.
