It was a year ago that I asked Certis if I could post a special Valentine's Day comic for the site. He reluctantly agreed and I took that as an invitation to post them every Friday since. I've usually tried to avoid going for the easy laugh. I know "boogers" is a funny word. Trust me. In fact I just laughed typing it now.
Hey guys, sorry I'm late. The vixens at the Glitter Gultch kept me up way past my bedtime, and I forgot I'm in a different time zone. I'm sitting here on my bed at the Golden Nugget in fabulous downtown Las Vegas. I'm trying to use the in-room Internet via the tiny useless keyboard and the TV.
I'm switching DSL providers and, according to the new provider, there will be a lag time between the time the old provider takes their "equipment" off my line and the time the new provider can put their "equipment" on my line. That lag time began yesterday. I actually had to bring today's comic into work on a floppy disk. Remember those?
Do we really want another MMORPG, even one as promising as World of Warcraft? Haven't we learned by now that massively multiplayer games are filled with other people? We're not all trained actors or even mediocre roleplayers. Hell, we're not all even trying.
If I wrote down, end to end, all the games I've never finished...you'd probably remark at my terribly inefficient use of paper. You might also notice that nearly every game I've owned is on that list. I'm just not a finisher.
After spending the whole day yesterday pondering aloud on my habitual consumerism, I couldn't very well just turn it off when it came time to draw a comic. January is a time to start fresh and do things right. For instance, since the new year I refuse to turn on my console until my homework is done.
Honestly, I didn't ring in my New Year's on Live. I did, however, remain safely inside my house. We've done enough NYE bashes and still get out regularly enough where we don't feel too compelled to do anything notable on the 31st.
I'm in the decompression phase of my Christmas weekend. My house is a disaster area with boxes and candy wrappers strewn about. I've cleared the necessary path between my chair in front of my television and my kitchen. Other than that, I don't know that I can see the carpet. I found Links 2004 under my tree and have spent the past day realizing how little I know about golf.
I barely even use my PC anymore. I mainly used it for online gaming, but the Xbox has taken over that spot. But all it took was a post in the forums by Flux asking what kind of scores we were getting in 3DMark's tests and I started planning my next upgrade. Mind you I only just finished upgrading it a couple months ago.
Check your facts people! And by "people" I mean "Sway". Due to a total factual inaccuracy, and the fact that I don't have Photoshop here at work, my completed comic will once again have to be postponed.
