This game should come with a warning label: Best Consumed Vicariously, because it’s a gorgeous, funny, polished game that’s just too hard to be enjoyable. Best leave it to the wunderkind on Youtube, that way I don’t have to watch all the fail that happens on the way to the win.

In a world where everything is either a sequel, a spiritual successor (which is like a sequel, but without grounds to sue) or a re-release of a game with a misleading title (No fighting game with a jump button is even remotely like Tekken, and shame on Nintendo for trying to fool people!), it's nice to know there are some original ideas still sleeting through the universe.

FUGL is an open-world flapping-simulator where you play a voxelized bird doing … something. The game description says “make your own adventure, with no time constraints or set goals,” which usually means the game developer learned just enough Unity to move a camera and called it a day.
I’m a big fan of Euro Truck Simulator and American Truck Simulator, and that’s a problem. But not in the way you’re probably thinking.

Gaming For A Purpose

This is a deeply personal text. I don't mean to explain how the world works or how we should change to make the world a better place. This is just my approach to deal with what the world looks like to me, and it is my approach to feeling as if am a decent human being. Games are a waste of your time. You should do something useful and intelligent instead.
