iPhone Games Catch-All

Here is a couple games worth getting since they are free (at least for a short while) for New Years.

Vector Tanks (definitely worth the d/l)
Trak4 (puzzle game, seems pretty fun)
Navy patrol: Coastal defense zero (tower defence)

I've been playing a lot of Angry birds. It's really fun and is currently only 99 Cents. It's like a 2d boom blox.

Oh man I am going to be all over that. I love physics games.

I just got an iPod Touch, so I've been looking for some good games for it. My favorite so far are my Popcap games, Worms, Spider, and iFighter.

If you like physics games you should also check out Iblask Moki

Yea, I highly recommend iblast Moki too. I have yet to try the new bonus levels that came out in the recent update.

I've been spending most of my iphone gaming time (and actually most of my gaming time) playing Blue Attack. It took me a long time to get the hang of the controls, but it's a perfect action fix for when I have a few minutes.

Mrs. Codger thanks you for that one. She pretty much played it the entire three hour trip home from New Year's weekend.

Angry Birds was an awesome recommendation, thanks!

Hi, was busy the last weeks with Quozzle. I don't know why, but all my games turn out strange... as soon as the game is through Apple certification I will put out some promo-codes here. I hope some folks will enjoy it!

Hi, Quozzle Quest was released by Apple. If you want some promo-codes, please let me know. If you are into a meditative experience, then this game should fit.

I am interested in any feedback, hate, love, uninterested. Give me your thoughts. They are invaluable!

cheers,
George

I'd take a code. Your last game was good.

you got it! I would like to add that part of the game is exploring the rules, because not every tiny bit is in the tutorial notes explained.

cheers,

Agreed!

I've been playing a lot of Doodle Jump lately. Not sure if it's recommended in this thread already, but it's very addictive and great for short burst gaming. Make sure to turn on the snow level in the options, it makes it cooler looking.

I'll give the game a shot if you are giving away codes. Looks interesting.

brof hooked me up with a code and I just put about five minutes into the game. It's a neat little game. I was a bit confused at first, mostly because I clicked through the first two tutorial screens, and thought it was a match three game. I'm still not completely sure I'm doing it right, but I was having fun, and I'm digging the music and sound effects.

I'll certainly be playing more.

Think of Scrabble with colors instead of letters. Move pieces to the Trashcan and press the OK-Button to exchange the pieces. It will cost you a round though. I think there is a tutorial screen for the trash can. I have to check that...

thanks for your responses!

It's intriguing so far, but I have no idea what's I'm doing or why I'm doing it.

nevermind, I figured out the trash can. My gameplay is already changing (for the better i think) without too much explicit instruction, so it has to be doing something right to guide me.

I just picked up Driver, and it is a perfect port of the original game. I highly recommend it

There is a trash can tutorial.

I got to level 2!

I would love a promo code!

Brof I'd like a code as well please! As for Doodle Jump, I think the snow version is a bit easier than regular. Addictive as hot wings, that game

If you still have codes available, Brof, I'd love to give it a shot.

Double-agreed! I even got my [mostly non-gamer] father to buy it, after he played through most of the first world on my iPod.

I hear it's the perfect game to play on the toilet, not that I would condone that sort of thing.

I would love a promo code.

Also, thanks for the Angry Birds recommendation. Awesome game and more money for little devs. (I've bought far too many games for the iPhone.

I apologize for skimming a bit here, but I have a question for you more-experienced iPhone gamers.

I've been playing through Doom Resurrection and have been really enjoying it. Are there any other good rail shooters on the platform?

brof, I'd love a code if you have one going spare.

I quite enjoy Polyhedra, which I got free from the Appvent calender. It's very simple; using a predetermined shape (circle for the first set of levels, for the second and so on) you have to fill a certain amount of the screen. You can expand the size of the shape, but if it is hit by one of the balls bouncing around the screen before you "drop" it, you lose that shape. Not a great description, I know!

I enjoyed iBlast Moki as well, which, again, was free from Appvent, but haven't got very far into it.

This might have been mentioned but "Words with friends" is great. It's scrabble but both players don't have be there. After your opponent takes their turn, it will send you a notice that it's your turn. There is a free version, which is the same as the paid version but with ads. If anyone wants a game my user name is IUMogg.
