Jags trade out of their spot. Well I did say one thing you can count on with Baalke is collecting picks. Good move.
ROKAF Vipers in the house. And why are they still loading Mavericks on A-10s for training purposes? The Hog's being phased out next year and Mavericks are expensive as hell to fire in training exercises.
No Aiyuk trade yet, and the window of picks they might move him for seems to be closing.
So which offensive tackle do the Bengals prefer? Mims or Fautanu?
EDIT: Mims it is. Geez so it’s Mims and Trent Brown who they just signed. That might be the largest tackle pair in league history.

Not sure there's a team that would want to trade a 1st and then sign him for 30mil per. He ain't that good.
Fautanu at 20 is a great pick.
BO NIX #12??
A solid backup for Zach Wilson.
Chop "I AM DOOM AGAINST UMASS" Robinson does NOT go to Tampa!!!!!!
This has been a long wait for one of my teams to pick.
Usually by now, the Jaguars have picked, sent everyone home, and gone to bed early.
Jaguars draft Alvin Harper.
Jags got Brian Thomas at 23 after a trade down.
You’re still a snake Baalke, but between Anton Harrison last year and this, I don’t have much to complain about from the past two 1st rounds.
Although this makes signing Gabe Davis look even more questionable. And there better be another WR in this Jags draft class later.
Derp.
Packers draft a tackle who was most likely available in the 2nd round on most boards.
The hype was getting Cooper DeJean and using him at safety but that made too much sense.
THANK GOD Graham Barton is the pick, the inside of the OL has been a dumpster fire, and absolutely the #1 player I was hoping for.

I think this next tier of tackles are going to go earlier than expected. I won’t be shocked if the Niners take one at 31 that was mocked in round 2 as well. There’s not a lot of guys that are just burning to be taken in these spots.
Alright, Niners time. Either one of those tackles or probably Cooper DeJean would be a Brandon Staley secondary pick that I doubt they expected to still be on the board at 31.
Well that answers the Aiyuk question. He’s gonna be gone.

Ya the Packers blogosphere talked themselves back into the pick within 10 minutes.
Depending how they shuffle the line he could also play a bunch year 1 so that's a positive.
O line picks are the definition of boring on draft day but 3+ years on fans don't remember how critical they were about it.
I think Morgan is a fine pick as long as you don’t absolutely need him to play tackle. If him having to play guard is fine, Morgan will probably work one way or another.
I didn’t like Morgan as an (often-mocked) pick for SF because they specifically need a right tackle.
For the Packers, Morgan probably slots in at right guard immediately, and they can try him at left tackle later if they want to.
Listening to Shanahan and Lynch’s press conference, Shanahan can’t stop bringing up how Pearsall never avoids contact or goes down willingly, but forces people to tackle him.
My lord, Shanny is going to make sure he never drafts Dante Pettis ever again.
Love the Byron Murphy pick. So awesome watching all the poorly run teams reach for 3rd round + QBs and ignoring defense.

Well, your team reportedly tried to be one of them, they just failed to close the deal.
Byron Murphy keeps throwing me for a loop, because there's already a cornerback in the league with that exact name. I guess this defensive tackle's name is technically Byron Murphy II, but everyone just says Byron Murphy and I'm like, that dude's already playing.
A few surprises in this draft and Penix going to ATL is one of them especially the contract Cousins just signed. Interesting move but the talent is sure there.
Ravens
Not at all mad at the Nate Wiggins pick. I had him at the top of my board when our turn came up and CB is always a position of need.
I am worried that OL is still a position we need to address sometime before camp and that all the rounds one and two talent appears to have been taken in round one. If Cooper Beebe isn't available when we pick again at 62, I think we probably draft a WR or trade down. My guess is that he won't be.

The Chiefs trading up to take Worthy over Adonai Mitchell and Ladd McConkey is a bit of a head scratcher. There was WR talent to spare on the board at that point so the trade up with Buffalo. Details below:
The Bills sent the 28th pick in the first round to the Chiefs along with a fourth-round choice (No. 133) in return for the 32nd pick in the first round and a third-round pick (No. 95). The teams also swapped selections in the seventh round.
I guess it didn't cost them much, but I don't see it really giving them a lot either since I didn't at all see the Dallas, Baltimore, or San Fran taking Worthy before they were on the clock. It feels a bit like when Buffalo traded up to take Kaier Elam a pick before Baltimore out of some ungrounded fear that we would want another Elam. I get that they wanted the speed, but there were better receivers.
Panthers justify trading up one spot (from 33 to 32) by saying it'll allow them to have a fifth-year option on their new WR (which they wouldn't have if they took him in round 2).
Maybe it's me, but I think Carolina oughta worry about fixing their crap team now and don't worry about four years from now. The chances the coach and GM will be around in 2028 or so are close to the chance that David Tepper wouldn't pop into a local restaurant and have a word with the manager about the sign outside.
Carolina Panthers: Playing 18D chess with checkers, buttons and Monopoly houses since 2018
I was passively listening to a Packers draft live stream.
The reaction by one person to this trade and then pick was worth it. He went from calm and somewhat quiet to mental break down trying to figure out the why. While the other members laughed and just chalked it to to #Panthers

That was precisely the justification the Ravens had for trading back into the first in 2018. They ended up using that fifth year option on their 32nd overall pick who was some running back named Lamar Jackson.
Enough about Carolina trying to outsmart themselves. What about the Falcons, huh? Couldn't happen to a dumber team (except, of course, the Saints).
Falcons GM Terry Fontenot said Penix could sit "for four or five years".
Four or five years? That's his entire rookie contract. And he's 24 already (in a few days). So he's not going to play until he's 28, 29?
I do think teams that don't have a proven starter should be aggressive in acquiring QBs, not just take one and assume he'll be the guy. I always praise how the Cowboys doubled up on drafting Troy Aikman and Steve Walsh. My motto is, keep taking QBs until you get one who makes you stop.
But this isn't a move like that. The Falcons went and got the proven guy, and gave him top 10 QB money. When you get a guy like that, you should still keep taking QBs, but you're taking mid-round guys looking for the next Kirk Cousins. You don't spend #8 overall on one.
