RFK Jr. eyeing Rodgers, Ventura as top '24 running mate contenders

He's going to wreck Trump's chances, that's for sure!

Reupping this from the Sports Forum here on GWJ: Aaron Rodgers is also a Sandy Hook truther.

Remember that he also talks to Joe Rogan a lot and had that anti-vaxxer rant on his podcast in 2022.

Nothing about him really surprises me anymore.

Trump Says There Will Be a ‘Bloodbath’ and Elections Will End if He Isn’t Reelected

Of course, it would not be a Trump rally without him spouting off about the election he lost being rigged and talking in near-apocalyptic terms should he not be reelected this year. “Now if I don’t get elected, it’s gonna be a bloodbath for the whole — that’s gonna be the least of it. It’s going to be a bloodbath for the country, that will be the least of it,” he warned. Later, he went as far as ominously implying that voting as we know it won’t exist if he loses: “I don’t think you’re going to have another election in this country if we don’t win this election,” he said.

I just don't know what to say anymore. He is so obviously laying the ground for a coup that I just am ..... I don't even know what ....

Spoilers!

He clearly misspoke, and meant to say there wont ever be another election if he does win.

When you want to say the quiet part out loud, you hire a convicted Russian spy to your campaign.

The media, the talking heads on tv the BLS and the BS numbers they post assure us that everything is *fine* in America.

Deep suffering and untold heartache is ignored because they're disposable workers. Ironically the same people who gave Biden his razor thin margins.

These people will *not* show up again.

I am sorry you feel he didn't do enough for your individual economy, but reversing 40+ years of Reaganomics is going to take more than 4 years in the White House, a divided Congress, and a hostile Supreme Court.

What Biden DID accomplish though was the economic soft landing, which no one thought was possible and is universally considered the Holy Grail of successful economic policy. And not only would a Trump presidency not have pulled that off, it is quite likely he would have f*cked it 11 ways before Sunday and then blamed the "woke media" for it.

So ask yourself which of the two candidates is fighting for student loan forgiveness, reproductive rights, environmental and labor standards, reinvestment in infrastructure, building up domestic industry, and financial accountability for corporations and which one has promised to be a dictator on day one so he can sell the nation to Russian oligarchs. Because those are the choices.

So, that's like, what... 15 people?

using the number of votes she got in the Ohio primary, a bit under 80,000.

Also of interest, Haley pulled >100k votes out of Florida’s primary yesterday, well after suspending her campaign.

(Ron got 41k and I’m only pointing it out to rub in his face what a loser he is).

All of them so desperate to be Trump's heir but they keep forgetting he isn't actually gone and that is their fault. You can't beat someone you are also enabling.

I could be wrong, but I suspect most of these Haley voters already voted for Biden in 2020, so it’s not like there’s this new pool of disaffected Republican voters to count on.

Depends on the state. Some open primaries yeah. Some GOP only... I mean I guess there's a few that didn't change parties for Trump but are tired of him.

Still a pretty big cognitive disconnect since all the state level candidates are sucking up to Trump and begging for his endorsement, and trying to out-racist him. Every GOP ad here in NC was talking about "protecting the border"... that's 1000+ miles away.

Possibly the most underreported story of the 2024 election is how far ahead the Democrats are in both the national and local money races.

It was hardly a surprise. It is customary for an incumbent President to run again should he wish to and so, in the background, the Democrat has amassed $155 million in cash on hand so far, ready to use against his Republican rival.

Indeed, the president raised $53 million alone last month. While Trump's February figures have not yet been released, by the end of January his two fundraising committees had $36.6 million in cash in hand and they spent more than they raised.

More importantly, it appears that big money donors, in particular, are reluctant to give to the RNC now that Trump has effectuated his nacht der langen messer and turned it into a piggy bank for his legal troubles. It is estimated that upwards from a quarter of the funds raised by his PACs has been spent on lawyers alone. Combine that with his inability to come up with the money to bond his appeal of his civil fraud judgement.

The ineffectual fundraising of the GOP along with Trump's clear propensity to simply rob the national committee for his own personal needs has left down ticket candidates scrambling for alternative fundraising vehicles independent of the RNC. And as things like donor rolls are the guarded intellectual property of the national committees, this has resulted in their being severely disadvantaged compared to prior election cycles.

I can't find any stories on how this is likely to affect state and local races and I live in a VERY blue state so the lack of Republican ad buys here is not tremendously noticeable. I am however curious to see if and by how much the money race will affect the complexion of not just House and Senate races, but state houses and governors mansions come November.

Not that they will show it on Fox or OAN but the sham impeachment inquiry wrapped up and it imploded so hard it generated an astronavigation hazard.

In related news, Wadiya's five time elected leader Admiral-General Haffaz Aladeen won 12 gold medals at the North African country's 5th alternative Olympic Games

I initially laughed at how desperate Trump is to print his own Bible, but then Michael Dexter pointed out on Twitter how it's the perfect way for far-right churches to funnel money to him without getting in trouble. If sales take off, it will be an obvious scam and violation of church and state, albeit one that will be nearly impossible to prosecute.

I know we are so far beyond the Rubicon with this grifting piece of shit, but...couldn't there be a rule that a political candidate can choose to be either: a bible salesman or continue to be a political candidate?

Seems like something that was already laid down in the emoluments clause, but since that part of the constitution apparently doesn't matter, we need new legislation that actually.......eh, who gives a f*ck, anymore?

Please don't stop giving a f*ck. Outrage fatigue is one way fascists win.

Which reminds me... recently I have noticed MAGAs increasingly calling Biden and other Democratic party leaders fascist. WTAF.

Another attempt to co-opt a term and create an opposite-world redefinition.

I couldn't find that on The Lincoln Project YouTube channel, which leads me to believe it's something The Young Turks put together. Could be that Lincoln Project just didn't put it on their YouTube page I guess.

But I also couldn't find it on TYT.com. Maybe Google's enshittification has blinded me.

If it seems like I'm hypersensitive to checking references, it's because I am. There has been a LOT of intentionally misleading media posted of late, and it's only going to get worse. I'm not singling you out, farley, it's just everywhere. I have been misled many times despite my paranoia.

I would say an easy fix is to make churches follow the same rules as other non-profits. If the govt catches a church playing hard and loose with campaign rules then that church needs to pay taxes as a for profit.

@BadKen - I’m seeing a lot of similar things too, along with cries that anything Biden slightly does that’s a little off as tyranny.

I have recently been seeing a whole lot of FB chatter on friends' pages from MAGAts pushing the narrative of the "Biden Family" with baseless innuendo about corruption. Their sources all tend to be crap from the completely discredited Comer/Jordan shitshow they call the impeachment hearings. The fact that they are trying to fish anything out of that trash fire is almost pitiable.

Should you run into any of this, here are a few points to emphasize.

The Comer/Jordan shitshow's principal witness was revealed to be Alexander Smirnoff, who, by his own admission, was a paid asset for Vladimir Putin and was deliberately passing Kremlin originating misinformation about Biden in an attempt to get Trump elected.

The Comer/Jordan shitshow then shifted to Tony Bobulinski who made all manner of fabulist claims about Joe Biden being the head of a crime family despite having zero evidence. It was later revealed that he was taking envelopes full of money from Trump chief of staff Mark Meadows and was actually photographed taking the cash while wearing a ski mask.

Longtime Rudy Giuliani employee Lev Parnas then testified and fully exonerated Joe Biden in the most emphatic testimony of the hearings.

Gym Jordan, when dared to second a motion to bring impeachment to a vote sat there looking like Ruprecht the Monkey Boy from Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, because it was obvious that even REPUBLICANS didn't want their names and votes associated with the shitshow. Good ole Gym didn't even need to launch the motion. A Democrat (Jared Moskowitz FL-D) did it for him. All he had to do is not be a f*cking coward for one moment in his life.

Now that it has all come down like the great garbage avalanche, Comer is stuck with his phallus in his hand and can do nothing more than refer this pile of feces to the Justice Department who will promptly flush it down the toilet. And you can count on Newsmax and QANN to scream "coverup".

In the end, this was clearly an attempt to Benghazi the president, but it failed miserably. And if you really want to dig it in, make them realize that the ONLY person who might have been able to manage a successful smear campaign like that was the actual guy who managed the Benghazi shit behind the scenes to begin with: Kevin McCarthy. And they decapitated him because they wanted to make pedophile Matt Gaetz and crazy MTG happy.

Verbifying Benghazi! Respect.

Looks like we know who posted the bond for Trump now.

lol. Now Comer is saying that Biden’s justice department should charge Biden with unspecified crimes despite his inability to make impeachment happen.

The irony should be lost on no one that he insisted that Trump is immune to criminal prosecution because of “presidential immunity” and that the only mechanism for accountability is impeachment
