The Dodgers game was fun (since I'm rooting for them), but the Yankees-Guardians game was legendary. What a series it's turning out to be!
The interesting thing about Ohtani hitting much better with runners on base is IIRC he hits lead off.
So that is one guaranteed at bat when no one is on base. Plus after the first inning, he'll hit behind the 7, 8 and 9 batters who don't typically get on base often. So he would seem to hamstrung batting first, no?
Feels like the Dodgers are phoning this one in... 6 runs phoned in should scare the bejeezus out of New York.
I apolgize for everything I've said during the regular season Giancarlo. And for trying my hardest to trade you immediately in OOTP.
Did you see the stat he has the 2nd fewest at bats per hr in the playoffs just behind the Babe? Dude lights it up in the post season.
It is a shame that the two best baseball games I’ve seen in years will lead to Yankees in 5
It's an incredible series, if you like home runs and comebacks and fielding errors
2 out of 3 ain’t bad

Jesus.
Extra innings means we're going to game 6. Prob didn't need to waste Weaver in the 9th.
It's the perfect time to put Holmes in
My reverse psychology worked!
Pretty epic series, Cleveland, was closer than 4-1 makes it look.
Do it, baseball. Have the World Series be between both New York teams while the mayor's dodging criminal indictments.
The Yankees-Guardians series was exciting, but it would have been more exciting if I could convince apps to stop sending me notifications of game outcomes. XD
Somehow, playing three of the most exciting games I can remember and yet losing the series in five to the Yankees is the most CLE sport things imaginable.
We are in Dark Times when I have to root for the Dodgers, twice.
2nd vs 3rd highest payrolls here we come
Wow. I had no idea the A's were THAT low. I knew they were cheap. But it would seem minor league teams have higher payrolls than $60 million...
So the presumptive AL and NL MVPs representing (arguably) the two most popular franchises in the (inarguably) two largest baseball markets are playing in the World Series.
The best players on the best teams playing in the WS? If anything it's surprising that it doesn't happen more often. And it used to, until the playoffs were expanded.

Ugh. Conspiracy Theorist Unite!
