Colts release Shaquille (Darius) Leonard. He hasn’t been the same player since his back surgeries, and his playing time has been fading away in Indy.
Meanwhile, more Jags/Niners cross-pollination, as the Niners sign guard Ben Bartch off the Jags practice squad. Bartch had been in and out of the starting lineup in Jacksonville since getting drafted in 2020. He suffered an ACL tear last year and didn’t get back on the field until this past August. He’s a big boy that can move, but he clearly wasn’t all the way back when he started the season this year, which led to his benching and eventual stashing on the practice squad.
