Missed the first half, but, wait . . . the Jags had two turnovers, the Saints had zero, and the score is 17-6 Jacksonville? How bad is Derek Carr?
Edit after watching a drive in the second half: OH REALLY BAD ACTUALLY
Feels like Jags should be winning by more than 11 right now.
Why does Dennis Allen think Kamara is a short yardage back?
Why have Jamaal Williams active if you’re not going to use him in those situations?
Dude, if you don’t want to have Trevor sneak on 4th and inches because of his knee, bring in BEAT HARD for that snap!
Yeah. 4th and inches from shotgun is never a good idea.
Easy stop, good field position, and Saints tie it
Well, Carr threw the should-be game tying TD, but Foster Moreau dropped it.
No OT, thank god. Jags win, but make it far more dramatic than it should have been.
That was a genuinely spectacular last four plays. Bad, bad, drop, bad. Peak Saints-ing.
I was rooting for the Jags but felt bad for Carr at the end. That's got to be incredibly frustrating. Also how bad is the Saints coaching this year? I get the whole 'lets gameplan for gimpy Fabio' in the first half, but maybe make some adjustments when the guy starts killing you on the ground?

Dennis Allen is 18-42 all time as a head coach. He's a good defensive coach that doesn't have any business occupying the head job. The defense would be better served if he were 100% focused on running it, instead of handing the reigns over to Joe Woods, the former DC of Cleveland, whose bad job is what Jim Schwartz is being championed for "fixing".
They also need to move on from Pete Carmichael, who has been their offensive coordinator since 2009.
I do like when organizations don't overreact and "clean house" every 2 years, but the Saints have let the pendulum swing too far the other way. They're trying to cling to the Sean Payton staff without Sean Payton.
So the Saints have the same approach to coaching as they do to the salary cap; pretend it's going to be fine if you just kick the can a bit further down the road.

Pretty much. At least with the salary cap, there’s *some* logic, as you can expect the cap to go up each year, as long as the NFL remains on its current growth course.
But it doesn’t work that way with coaching. It’s atrophy. You’re neither hiring new blood from the outside, nor are you allowing yourself to develop any on the inside, because you’ve calcified the top of your staff.
Rumors of Brian Burns being a trade deadline target are heating up, and one of the teams being mentioned as possible buyers are the Jaguars, which would make me insanely happy.
Of course, if Baalke had drafted Aidan Hutchinson instead of Travon Walker a year ago, the Jags wouldn’t need to be looking for another edge rusher. But that ship has sailed.
But why are the Panthers seemingly willing to sell Burns, after turning down the Rams’ offer a year ago? According to Yahoo Sports, it might be because, according to sources close to David Tepper, “the priority in the organization in the near-term is to use assets to help fortify the future of quarterback Bryce Young.” Sounds like everything is pivoting to propping up the QB Tepper may have forced the team to take.

If you think Young is the guy, then yeah, this makes total sense. I haven't seen enough from him yet to know one way or the other.
Step 1: Trade Burns for a bounty of picks
Step 2: Package up the picks and Tiny Bryce to get a top 5 pick.
Step 3: Draft Drake Maye or Michael Penix.
In case you were not excited to watch the 3-3 Raiders visit the 1-5 Bears, both Jimmy G and Justin Fields have been ruled out of the game due to injuries.

I could get behind a rookie QB battle, but if the Raiders are just gonna put Hoyer out there, then it loses that angle.
Deebo Samuel has a hairline fracture in his shoulder and will miss “at least” the next 2 games.
Better than a soft tissue injury, but still a bummer. Don’t think it’s severe enough to make the 49ers be wide receiver buyers at the trade deadline.
David Tepper is such a weirdo that there's a world in a not-too-distant galaxy where he trades TBY and fires Reich and starts over (again).
He's a Masters of the Universe a-hole. He's not used to playing a game where there are actual, enforced rules of fair play.
Can you imagine what Goldman Sachs would look like where you got draft picks for finance majors from Penn and were capped on salary? And you were forced to only buy on a severely restricted market and could only "play" the S&P 500?

I graduated from Penn, but had to sign with Jack Welch as an undrafted free agent.

And CMC questionable. Won't know for sure until Monday
No Judon, Keion White, or Josh Uche for the Patriots today. Josh Allen is going to be a free man.

But they do have Bill Belichick, who apparently signed a multi-year contract extension in secret in the offseason.
I wonder if Kraft is feeling any buyer’s remorse as they sit at 1-5.

I love how nobody had this story until week 7 and it comes out as soon as people started writing stories about Kraft considering firing BB.
Back to the game, the Patriots are desperate enough at the OL that they finally moved Mike Onwenu to RT again.
Nice opening drive by the Ravens that actually ends in a TD for once.
Ravens up 14-0 and across midfield again
Maybe all of the “Lions are elite” talk was a little premature.
And maybe Baltimore is finally breaking their offensive slump.
Baker Mayfield is good at many QB things, but the deep ball is so not one of them.
The Lions dialed back their practice schedule this week and it shows.
