Taylor Swift is a traitor.

To the Cards. We've seen how that goes.

When did making me like a dumbass talking about late games become an official NFL rule?
Cowboys lose to Arizona aaahahahahaahah
That's not how tanking works.

Boomers, there's still a chance Usher will bring out what's left of Wayne Newton!
Gen X: they skipped over us again
Genuinely kinda feel for Zach Wilson, in the sense that, I cannot imagine how it feels to be told you're "The Guy," except literally everyone knows you're not good enough to be The Guy, including yourself.
Like, you are quite visibly the biggest reason your team isn't making progress.

Who from Gen X has had residency in Vegas? Celine Dion?
Dre is GenX, but no LV residency.
Same with Em.
And Snoop.
And Mary J Blige.
Still the best halftime ever.

Nah. No empathy.
Jimmy on the other hand. His whole family is at the game and just watched him get bent backwards. Poor guy.
I’ve had the time of my life…
I guess those “tells” Patrick Peterson had of the 49ers offense were actually old Jimmy G tells.
Raiders with the surrender field goal with 2:25 left in the 4th, down by 8, from the Pittsburgh 8 yard line.
They didn’t get the ball back until there was 0:12 left.
McDaniels defended it saying they needed “multiple possessions” to win, which, sure, but your best chance at actually getting that 2nd possession was to go for that 4th and 4.

Can't see McDaniels lasting but one thing he has going for him is it's the Raiders so you never know.
It was like he was afraid going for it on 4th and 4. But convinced himself that another possession, most likely driving the full field, would be the solution.
Maybe he thought they were down 9 instead of 8.
So needing 2 scores is even more reason to go for it. Not time for 2 possessions

He may not last until the Nickelodeon Game of Death on Christmas, but if he does, wouldn't it be great if the Raiders get trashed by both Patrick Star and Taylor Swift?
I hope somebody calculates the odds of picking up 4 yards on 4th + 4 more yards to score + 2 pointer to force overtime + scoring in overtime vs. kicking the field goal, getting the ball back, and driving the field length to score a TD in only 2:25.
It only took the Steelers a single first down to kill off option B.
According to ESPN, the win % with 2:22 remaining was 15.8% if you went for it and 10.2% if you kicked the FG. You have to take win % with a grain of salt because they don't always take into account the specific circumstances of each game but that feels like to big of a difference for the FG to be a good idea.
Interestingly, though, when they attempted the FG and the Steelers committed a penalty, the win probabilities were basically equal. So, they should have either declined the penalty or gone for it with 2:22 remaining.
The thing is, if they went for it on 4th and 4, and didn't make it, the opportunities are opened up.
You have them pinned and could get a safety which would remove the need for 2 scores or a 2 point conversion. And you wouldn't need an onside kick either.
If you don't get a safety and force them to punt, some time has run off the clock but you still have an opportunity for a tie with a touchdown and 2 point conversion.
Kicking a field goal assumes the most risk with the worst upside.
That's true but the more time on the clock, the more chances you have to make your stop and drive back down the field so that explains why it wasn't necessarily a bad choice to kick it with 3+ min.
Another thing is was wondering yesterday is that if teams can fair-catch kickoffs and start on their 25-yard line, they should be able to do the same with free kicks after a safety. Yesterday, at the end of the Pats-Jets game, Myles Bryant fielded Morstead's FK at the 5-yd line and made a return to the 16. If Wilson had avoided the sack and the Jets punted from their own endzone, there is no way the kick it that far, so the Pats got a much worse field position by getting a safety.
Davante Adams: We’re not doing the right things to build a winning culture
Subtext: WILL SOMEBODY FIRE THIS IDIOTIC DUMBASS ALREADY.
Come home Davante. <3
We can do it without Rodgers.
Come home Davante. <3
You mean East Palo Alto? 20 minutes to Levi's Stadium straight down the 101.
Honestly though, I think Adams needs to be on the trade deadline radar, and the Packers would have to be on the list of potential buyers. Adams' salary this year is only $6m (and less if you just count the part from the trade deadline on forward), and by the time his salary goes up next year, the Packers would have Rodgers off their cap. The NFC North looks like a two horse race.
Imagine the Packers getting two 1sts for Adams, and then getting Adams back for one 1st a year and a half later.
I'd love to see Carr and Adams reunite again in New Orleans and prove McDaniels was the problem, but New Orleans is over $72m in the red next year. It took a major effort just to get under the cap this year, and that meant pushing lots of red ink into next year.
Robert Saleh, for at least the 5th time in his press avail just moments ago says he's sticking with Zach Wilson as #Jets starter. "He's our unquestioned quarterback … as long as he continues to show improvement … he's not the only reason why we lost …"
Sir.
SIR.

I'd happily take him back especially if Christian Watson keeps missing games. Not much point of engineering future cap space for Watson if his hamstrings keep exploding.
Davante also has a style of game the lends well going into his 30s. If you just have a knack of being open and you don't drop balls it's not like that just disappears.
Jimmy throwing balls that gets him laid out like last night though doesn't help.
I could see him getting traded but doubt it will be the Packers to pony up. 49ers look like they have room to make something happen but do they need a WR and not sure how that shakes out in future years. If KC pulled it off I'd puke but the Raiders can't be that dumb to go in division.
the Raiders can't be that dumb
*looks at Raiders football for the last 20 years*
Are you sure they can't be that dumb?
