Yeah I sprinted through that tower ignoring the enemies and loot. I even cheated on the second last boss. As it was fairly broken. Though I heard it's been patched.
I actually enjoyed the final boss but I can understand that he was pretty brutal.
You bailed in time. The last Chapter (11) is a total slog and I hate-pushed through that one up to the final boss. It was obvious after fighting that last boss multiple times that I was never going to defeat him easily. And I'd likely have to spend a few more hours throwing myself at it to actually win. So I quit at that point pretty disgusted with the game.
If I had quit as I reached that Chapter I wouldn't have had as bad a view of this game as I do now.
That's good to hear. I felt bad about bailing because I was having such a great time until Collapsed Krat.
I’m still having a good time so far. The fire axe weapon makes me feel like the pyro from TF2 and now that has become my weapon of choice.
Madness. It was great the whole way, and another several hours would have been welcome.
To be fair I've always found the last third of souls games to be the weakest. Even stuff like elden ring. I think the only exception was sekiro but that game felt more condensed and thought out narratively.
Weapon designs: Half of the weapons are just tools. Big exaggerated tools but tools no the less. Wrench but huge. Bonesaw also huge. Fire axe is normal size but functional.
King of puppets. Kicking my butt
Edit: First phase easy. Second phase. Ouch. I seem to get killed fast.
If I recall, I think that second phase was cracked for me via being more aggressive and in his face (er... Legs). I had to avoid having any distance because his AoE attacks would wreck me, but if I could stick up close to him it was managable!
Same. First phase is almost an endurance fight while the second one is a race to see who's hp disappears first. Throwing stuff at him works fairly well too. So if you have him low and just need a bit more. Oh and this is when I started using the summon. Just to get through the long first phase.

Alright alright alright. Beat that boss. It took a weekend and I need it. Kings fall just as easily with a knife.
Next boss talk. Victor: The boss's attacks seem to come whenever it received damage. The fury attacks are pretty hard to block because the heavy swings mixed with a light gut punch that gets me.
The bull rush attacks aren't too bad.
I think sometimes when I can't finish a Soul's like game its on me. I feel like I can be better and finish this game though.
Edit: Another hard earned win.
Oh hi me. I’m still playing and beat Luxasia. Why are the first phase of the boss is fun and the second part is a kick in the gonads.
Keep watching how to videos and I dislike the videos use throwables.

One of the better bosses in my opinion. Maybe because sekiro muscle memory is en-grained in my blood sweat and tears. But it really clicked for me when it came to parrying. Even the few fake out movies only worked once. That and sprinting around can dodge some of the lightning that gets thrown.

Are you parrying the lightening, especially right in the beginning of the second phase?

I did parry those. It’s a huge difference in her slashes. She over acts the attacks in first phase and then just cuts you. I did beat her and I appreciate her design.
She makes the next boss pretty easy. I dunno why they make her harder than Simon.

Luxasia was a teaching boss for me. It taught me parry timing and also projectile blocking. The timing and the attacks made me a little/a lot better at it’s rhythm.
I beat the last boss and boy that took 2 hours straight.

Major congrats on that. I gave up after I realized it would probably take about that long after trying him multiple times.
