I don't like Harden much as a player or as a person but I do think he is not getting the credit he deserves for wanting off these teams. From the Nets he didn't want to stay and play with a selfish anti-vaxxer racist that showed he didn't care about his teammates. From the Sixers it is an open secret he had a handshake deal for his next contract when he signed last year and apparently Morey reneged on it. I don't blame him for wanting off either of these teams and I think he should be praised for standing up for his principles, not derided. In his situations I would want the same thing.
Also I should say that I kind of agree that I’m on Harden’s side on forcing his way out of the Nets. That team was a mess as seen by the way it eventually imploded.
I mostly think it was fine to force his way out of Houston. I think the way he did it was kind of disgraceful, but that situation had run its course and apparently the new ownership is kind of terrible.
And the Philly one I already mentioned. Sounds like it’s about money and a handshake deal gone bad. It’s a shame, because I think he kind of fits there and they have a chance with better coaching and a few more role players.

Because otherwise you would assume Harden would be doing most of this via his agent as that's why you pay an agent.
Even if he's 100% in the right it still seems a bit odd to me for him to be the one directly making the statements.

It came with a subscription for the year to League Pass, which is a $100 value, and with the $100 version of the game. So it was a good value.

Thanks for the heads up on this. I’ve been out on 2K for a few years, because I just don’t have the time to “git gud” at MP and that’s the only mode I played.
However, I was already going to pay $150 for League Pass. I do every year. So that basically makes this a free game to me.
So far I don’t have much to report. I’m mostly playing “play now” mode with classic teams. It’s notable to me that when I went to look up some tips on Reddit this game is getting flamed for the continuing degradation of the MyPlayer mode as 2K continues with their predatory micro transaction model. I’m very happy to be playing a free game to me where I only care about certain modes.

Last year I got League Pass for $50, so I am hoping they do the same deal this year since I don't have much interest in 2K.

And I totally believe them in both instances! I know it's the only game in town, but as a offline Franchise person, NBA 2K is by far and away not only the best in its sport but arguably the best in sports games, period (non-OOTP/FM division).
It exists in the amazing duality of being unquestionably one of the best sports games year-on-year, and also an exploitative microtransaction sh*tstorm.
My impression of it so far is that most of the Microtransaction trash is in the "MyCareer" mode. You can still largely play exhibitions or seasons using normal teams and it's all above board for the most part. You can GM teams in the NBA and play full seasons of WNBA.
Unfortunately the most popular mode seems to be the "MyCareer" stuff where you can play pickup games online and some folks apparently pay up to $1000 a year on that. Notably streamers, who have made that mode really popular online.
My biggest beef with this game is that I tried a few of the current gen 2k games on Switch and they were basically unplayable to me, because you had to have an Internet connection. I only dipped back in this year with the free League Pass deal and after purchasing a PS5. I will never pay 2k money for a sports game on Switch knowing it probably won't work away from my Internet connection.
