Famous Person Obituary Thread

Richard Lewis just died. I hope Larry David is in his will.

Well it's been a few years since I watched Robin Hood: Men In Tights

Wasn't his mole on the other side?

f*ck.

It's so hard not to speak ill of the dead sometimes.

Pour one out for Louis Gossett Jr., 87.

this is for whatever reason the movie I think of first when I think of him. Always overshadowed by that other airplane movie, but I liked it.

Oh yeah, I loved it back in the day.

Nah. Here's the real Gossett.

Chappie!!! I LOVED Iron Eagle* as a kid!

He was also the alien in Alien Mine. Along with Trek, that movie really helped shape my young sensibilities toward war, racism, and homosexuality.

* Side note: Iron Eagle 2 is one of those movies that committed the cardinal sin of killing a main/favorite character off screen. It’s up there with Newt from Aliens and Poochie from The Simpsons.

I still think Iron Eagle 2 should have been a congressional hearing on all the war crimes Doug and Chappie committed.

Poochie died on the way to his home planet. I don't see what's so terrible about that.

He had to go.

Y2K: On the eve of the new millenium, the American military are alerted of a long missing nuclear missile hidden deep in the jungle which is set to go off in January 2000, due to the millenium bug. They must race against time to stop it.

Oh, I'd forgotten he voiced the Vortigaunt in Half-Life 2 (episode 1).

76. He wasn't that old really.

Will he be missed? Not really

I wonder if he ever found Nicole Brown Simpson's murderer.

I heard the murder died.

Yet they were never found, interesting.

Ironic the real killer died the same day as OJ.

If there's any comfort to be taken is that prostate cancer will finally meet justice in about 13 years when it's sent to prison for armed robbery.

Just got a breaking news report from the afterlife. Norm MacDonald was granted the first interview with OJ Simpson, according to News Everywhere and Beyond. MacDonald opened the interview with this comment, direct and to the point:
"So, we have two things in common, we both had cancer and you killed your wife and that waiter."
