I really hate rooting for the Huskies. It's like an internal struggle between rooting for Utah cause deep down that is what I want, and then rooting for Huskies because logically that is who I should be rooting for. I guess in a way I win either way?
You are probably going through the same thing with the Florida State game right Stele?
Yeah still a chance we could get the 1-seed or shared regular season ACC or whatever if Miami won tonight.
But then right now we've got a better shot at the playoff if we beat 12-0 FSU. And if we don't, they are a playoff lock and we get the Orange Bowl which is a nice consolation prize this final year of 4-team playoff. So really better for FSU to win. But damn the refs blowing that safety call makes me want to cheer for Miami.
Can also just cheer for Duke to beat tonight and then Cards are locked into ACC CG. Don't even have to beat Miami. And so then it's guaranteed Orange Bowl or better with 2 weeks to go. Would be nice.
We're 0-6-1 all time AT Miami. Think we can win but that's some bad juju for next week. So go Duke. I guess.
yeah, you figure Louisville has to win out to get in, so you'd rather beat an undefeated FSU instead of a 1 loss FSU to help the resume
Damn, Tulane almost lost against a bad team AGAIN. Someone knock them off.

So Duke got absolutely hosed last night by the refs, multiple times in the 4th to even send it to OT, and again in OT when UNC went for 2. Just blatant calls, no calls, skipped reviews, etc. There was a Duke interception that got ruled a UNC catch. A Duke facemask called when they only grabbed jersey. On final drive a bogus PI to get UNC across midfield. With 10 seconds left, UNC WR was down in bounds, out of FG range, but the refs marked him out of bounds. They were able to run one more play and use last timeout to tie it. A phantom holding call on a Duke TD so they had to only kick a FG to tie instead of winning the game. In 2nd OT UNC went for 2, and had a lineman out in the middle of the endzone (ineligible receiver) but not called.
It was insane all the wrong calls and not reviewed calls that it took for UNC to win and keep their hopes of ACC CG alive.
I'm very afraid we are going to get jobbed in Miami next Saturday to force a tie with UNC and let them go to Charlotte instead. Louisville and UNC didn't play each other this year with the new schedule so there's a convoluted tie breaker process that in a couple of scenarios lets UNC in over us, depending on results of other games. Also VaTech would win a 3-way UNC-Lou-VT tie somehow because UNC didn't play them either.
Louisville must avoid a three-way tie with North Carolina and Virginia Tech and must avoid a two-way tie with North Carolina coupled with a multi-way tie at 4-4 among Miami, Georgia Tech, and any other team(s).

Also: Texas.
Well my Vols sucked yesterday.
Basketball school!

NEVERMIND, won’t be needing this anymore.
Off to the Jimmy Kimmel Bowl, can’t wait to see UCLA there!
Hey this winning thing is kinda cool!
START THE STREAK! Maybe you'll be seeing Cal in the Jimmy Kimmel bowl @legion!
Cal is actually a 4.5 point favorite against stanfurd in The Big Game, and I'm assuming fUCLA, who we play in the final week of the season has already quit. Nothing would make me happier than keeping the Axe next week, and somehow beating fUCLA the following week in the last time Cal will ever see the inside of the stadium known as the Rose Bowl, mic dropping and just saying "yeah we own this place".

The Jeff Tedford Bowl Presented By Jimmy Kimmel.
I will not coach A&M for a fraction of the money that they’re giving to Jimbo to not coach them.
I'm assuming more people here watch MNF than Cal football.. so if you want to know what it's like to be a Cal fan, what Buffalo went through last night, that's kinda expected every week.
Oregon State and Washington State have been granted a preliminary injunction and taken sole control of the Pac-12 Conference.
Make the reverse merger happen!
Deion Sanders on other coaching jobs: 'I don't hear it'
Based on Prime's track record, you've got him for at most another 12-16 months, Colorado.
Prime doesn't hear it. Prime's agent hears every word.
I would be mad about 2 loss Missouri ahead of 1 loss Louisville. Especially since Louisville plays 11 P5 teams vs their 9. But whatever.
I've seen the committee do whatever the hell they want in the final week with no regard for previous rankings. So just keep winning and we'll see what happens.
Assuming both teams winout for the rest of the regular season, which they both should, than Missouri will be higher ranked than Lousiville. However, Missouri's season will be done where Lousiville will have a chance to add 1 more ranked team to their win which would put them in front of them in the rankings I'm sure.
As far as now, I think it's tough. Lousiville has 1 loss, but it was too an unranked Pitt team and they only have 1 ranked win. Missouri has 2 loses but both against ranked teams including #1 Georgia, and have 2 wins against ranked teams.
I mean, aren't there only 4-6 schools that the ranking really matters to?
4 for playoffs and a few more for the NY6 bowls. This will be the last season the Rose, Orange and Sugar mean anything. Playoffs expanding to 12 next year will take those over I guess.

Nothing would make me happier than Wazzu and Oregon State ruining everything for the Pac-12 in the final Apple Cup and Civil War and THEN taking all the money while they're at it!
Is Texas A&M that [insert word here] that they would hire a 4--6 coach? 4-6 in a conference that the SEC thinks is so inferior? I like Justin Wilcox, but if you want a sub .500 coach but is a genuine good dude, I wouldn't get upset if you want to take a run at him.
Not sure how they do it but A&M seems to just be able to conjure up $100MM+ whenever they need it, but even that has to have its limits.
This has to just be other coaches trying to screw with Colorado recruits or ESPN just trying to find something to get eyeballs?
If TAMU wants a losing record head coach, they can just hire Kliff.
For some reason I get Justin Wilcox and Jonathan Smith mixed up all the time. If I'm A&M I'd be taking a hard look at trying to pull Jonathan Smith from Oregon State. What he has been able to do over there has been pretty amazing. Given the fact that we have no clue on the future of that school it seems like he might be open to a change.
Pac-2 and Mountain West are discussing scheduling partnership and merger options.
If I'm Jonathan Smith, joining the Mountain West isn't going to keep me from jumping ship to a much bigger program and conference.
We might have lost last week and have a tough game this week, but the Vols since Heupel was hired have some crazy punt stats I've seen floating around Twitter:
Over 36 games, UT has 856 total punt return yards. They have only allowed 20 punt return yards by the other teams. 0.55 average return yards against per game.
We got this Australian punter this year the fans wanted to replace after a couple of shanks in our opening game against UVA. Ever since, he's been crazy good. He kicks both right footed roll out, left footed roll out, and straight up traditional style on occasion.
He reportedly has a really good arm. Yet to see it, but wouldn't be surprised if there isn't a trick play there somewhere in the playbook.

Jonathan Smith has one more win against Oregon than Justin Wilcox, and Justin Wilcox allegedly turned down the Oregon job which led to you hiring Lanning. Based on that, you should be eternally grateful for Justin Wilcox (also Oregon alum) and Cal. Now that I think about it, maybe Oregon ought to join fUCLA in Calimony payments so we can keep paying Wilcox.
Louisville vs Florida St for ACC championship Dec 2.
Pretty good for a first year coach. Hehe.
