Super Bowl LVII
Who: Chiefs vs Eagles (both are 14-3)
When: 6:30p EST Feb 12 (that's in two weeks; we have the Manning Bowl to entertain us next weekend)
Where: State Farm Stadium, Phoenix-ish
Halftime: Rihanna
Opening odds: Chiefs -1.5, over/under 49.5; Chiefs -105, Eagles -115 ... Vegas expects a very close and high-scoring game, in other words.
I was just telling a friend that I think both teams are pretty thankful they are not going to play the alternative opponents.
A hobbled Mahommes would have been absolutely destroyed by that nasty Niners defense.
And the Eagles would not have had an answer for the Cincy air game.
I was seeing Philly favored by 1 or 1.5, I may need to get on some of that before someone realizes that the odds are effed up.
Boo
If he is throwing to Marcus Kemp and Skyy Moore and handing off to Isaiah Pacheco, I don't like their chances. Philly has the tools to cover Kelce and MVS if those are the only real threats that will beat them.

I could very much see this turning into a recap of the 2020 Super Bowl, where the Bucs' defensive line was dominant enough they never needed to blitz, and the back end just shut down everything so Mahomes had to play hero ball.
If he is throwing to *Legion* and UpToIsomorphism and handing off to Rat Boy, I
don'tlike their chances.

I get that folks seem to think this is going to be some kind of shootout, but I think that largely depends on the health situation of both teams. KC's offensive weapons are beat up and Mahommes wasn't looking great on his timing on long throws where he needed his plant foot. Had Cincy not kept just about EVERY drive alive with defensive holding, that game should have been a pretty comfortable win for them.
And Philly's defense is better than Cincy's.
The last chapter of the storybook season really sucked for Brock.
That really sucks for the prospect of a 49ers QB controversy. Is Trey Lance going to be available before preseason starts? Otherwise, we may be under a Jimmy G starting in week 1 scenario, lol.
Levis... are they any good?
No. Not at all.

A couple non-bad calls plus some turnovers for points could have meant that Jimmy G would be starting in the Super Bowl.
... I thought it was a criticism of pants.
I was on a Browns fb page and someone asked "what tools do we need to put around Watson to improve the Browns" and I answered "an ankle monitor".
The AFC QB representatives for the Pro Bowl are some real winners.
Derek Carr
Tyler Huntley
Trevor Lawrence
In a conference with Joe Burrow, Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, and Justin Herbert, this is what they are sending to the Pro Bown!?
Maybe time to reconsider the whole Pro Bowl thing...

Well it is a flag football game this year... Huntley would be a good pick for that format!
Do they still wear helmets in the flag football game? If so, does Derek Carr show up with duct tape put on top of the Raiders logo?
How about they just play rugby?
How about they just play rugby?
They would learn how to lateral the ball then. American football would never be the same.
QBs Tyler Huntley, Trevor Lawrence, Derek Carr to Pro Bowl
Huntley threw two touchdown passes this season, the fewest by far for a quarterback selected to the Pro Bowl since the 1970 merger, according to ESPN Stats & Information research. The previous low was six touchdown passes by the Philadelphia Eagles' Mike Boryla in 1975. In filling in for the injured Jackson for six games, Huntley passed for a total of 658 yards, which ranked 48th in the NFL this season.
Just bring back Rock 'n Jock. It ain't serious, let's stop treating it serious.
EDIT: I hope Huntley gets a contract bonus out of this somehow.
Sean Payton to coach the Broncos. Also announced, DeMeco Ryans to coach the Texans.
Denver got Wilson last year, Payton this year. Really crushing the offseason Super Bowl lately.
Genuinely curious to know how Payton adapts to a life without Brees, who seemed like the absolute perfect guy for his offense. I'm going to suggest Russ doesn't quite have the anticipation, accuracy, and touch. Yeah, yeah, Payton had him some Taysom and Jameis in that final year, but time to see how he can adapt to what looks like a Russ who has been cooked.
