NCAA Basketball 2022-2023 Catch-all

Yep one of the right wing guys in my basketball fans text group already blamed the vax

Again, it's amazing we let these people call anyone else an "NPC" when their immediate response to pretty much any death these days is "vaxxed?"

I hope Bronny's okay, they figure out what's what, and I feel awful for LeBron.

We need a new thread. Exhibition games have started. AP polls out this week. If no one else feels up to it I'll do it this weekend.

Pissed at the NIT right now:

What's your concern? I'm pretty sure if Louisville wins the regular season ACC you won't need to worry about the NIT regardless if you get knocked out in the first round of the conference tourney.

It's screwing the Murray State's of the world. They can go 30-3 and lose in conference tournament and be done. They just changed the rules to guarantee the little schools a NIT berth a few years ago. (2017)

Then last year's Final Four was... North Texas (1st), UAB (2nd), Utah Valley and Wisconsin.

Apparently they didn't like the little guys winning? Or they didn't sell enough tickets. So they are catering to the big schools now to get a sh*tty 17-16 power team in, so they can sell out an early round game.

Except the real big schools will still decline, just like UNC did last year.

So it's just dumb on a lot of levels. Let the smaller schools who are excited about any postseason play in it. Money shouldn't be the only factor.

All I ask is that my team place just one spot higher then last year. Is that too much to ask?

What part of anything that's happened in the last 12 months in the NCAA makes you believe this?

Also, who's watching the NIT unless your team is in it? I couldn't tell you who was in last year's NCAA Final 4, (Other than SDSU, thanks to WizKid's reminder), let alone who was in the NIT.

It is getting there. My Vols beat Michigan State today in a scrimmage of two top 10 teams with funds raised donated to Maui relief.
