Yup I have hit the mid 90s just by adding Cosmo and rogue to my decks. If you can screw those interactions up you will go far. Incidentally i just got Wong so if you could avoid doing it to me please that would be great.
I'm going to make the case for Rogue countering Wong again, because of something I learned over the holiday: when she steals a power from a card, this also prevents Mystique from copying that power. I compelled several retreats when others learned this fact, too.

I whole heartedly concur and carry both rogue and cosmo in all but my destroy deck.
Decided I wanted to see what Agatha Harkness could do so I swapped her into a deck I was currently playing and not only is she a fun and surprisingly effective card, but she even talks to you occasionally. This might be my main for a while.

Please be Katherine Hahn's voice!
Nah, it’s just text bubbles in the post-game rewards screen (she steals booster rewards for herself, btw).
I also tried making a Hela deck tonight and I don’t understand why people like Hela-based discard decks so much. If you can play Hela on turn 6 you are almost guaranteed a win, but 9 out of the 12 matches I played with her ended up with Hela being discarded within a round or two of being drawn (though Ghost Rider did manage to bring her back in 1 of the matches).
I've decided to play around with a deck built around Moon Girl duplicating Miles Spider-Man and She-Hulk. Nightcrawler will be there to activate Miles, Sunspot for energy, and probably Leader as a 6 energy card because f*ck you.
Is Miles Spider-Man a normal unlock card or was the season pass the only way to get him?
Thanks!
I got him through a (far, far, far too infrequent) collector reserve box, so you can get him without having already paid, but you need to be far, far, far too lucky. The upgrade path is really pissing me off right now.
I'm also at the point where I don't see myself caving on a season pass unless it features some really beloved X-Men. The rumored Jean Grey/Phoenix pass, especially if it included Kitty, would make me pay, but it seriously needs to be characters that iconic--I'm not paying anything for f*cken Zabu(?) no matter how hyped the creator scene is about him.

I haven’t got her yet but out of interest what do you think a deck with her in should look like? I imagine you don’t want anything that requires intricate set up so is it a collection of high power cards with few abilities?
Early testing of my deck is both hilarious and disappointing, because people keep retreating before I can reveal the Prestige. Seems that the mere sight of a pair of Miles going out is enough to make many people flee. I've also had some bad zones in a very specific way--I keep getting something I want to take out with Storm, but also a zone that will copy another zone that copies the flooded zone. Odd.

The secret to Agatha decks is the 3 cost on-reveal card Wave, which sets the cost of all cards to 4 for on the next turn. When you have Wave in your hand Agatha almost always plays her, then places herself on the board the next turn, giving you back control of your hand. You can get a 14 power card on the board on turn 4 and have two turns to focus on locking down a second location. I find that it also helps to keep America Chavez in your deck for a guaranteed 9 power card on turn 6 if Agatha leaves you with a big mess, otherwise just throw in a lot of buff cards.
Based on advice here I've added Rogue to a couple of my decks, but now I'm not encountering any Wong's. :-/ Although she is also fun to use on a Devil Dinosaur.

She is a guaranteed winner, but I have her and Apocalypse as options for the last round. And I can often still win even if I end up without either in my hand if I have a nicely powered up Morbius and a few free Swarms.
It's really just fun to play Hela and watch the board fill up.
lol, first match of the new season and my opponent had almost the same exact deck as me and there was only a two card difference between our plays.
Funny, I also just got Hela. Would have preferred Death, but I'll take it.
A lot of Hela decks look not entirely unlike what I use for my Apocalypse deck, so I used that as a base, took out some of the riskier or superfluous cards (Lady Sif in particular seems like asking for trouble), and added a bunch of extremely high cost cards in their place--She-Hulk, Hulk, and Infinaut. First attempt I got extremely lucky, She-Hulk and Infinaut got discarded and my opponent played Shang Chi way too early, so I won. Neat!
I've had decent success with my Destroyer deck. I use him to trigger Winter Soldier and Nova and have Armor or Professor X protecting the 2nd location. I use Warpath and Polaris as a cheap high power cards and usually use a few throwaway cards as bluffs. I think most people believe I am running a typical destroy deck when they see Bucky and Nova, so they assume Carnage or Venom will appear and try to prepare for it.
Sinister London is a location that will really mess the deck up. I will usually try to avoid playing there.
Wong+Gambit+Odin just went hard in on my Colossus. Of the 6 cards Gambit shot 5 hit Colossus and the last one hit Professor X. I was dying laughing but if that had been me I would be livid. Although, if I was on turn 6 and Armor was up on the right and Professor X was up on the left and the only thing in the middle lane was a Colossus, Bucky and Nova I would probably try to find a different strategy.
What really makes a Hela deck shine is Invisible Woman to hide the discards behind if you have Hela in hand.
I’ve tried that but since the Invisible Woman stuff gets revealed last you have to put Hela in that lane as well or else she gets flipped first and can’t resurrect them, which restricts the amount of “safe” discards to two (or three with Hell Cow), severely limiting the usefulness of the combo.
I’m still playing with a Hela deck but I’ve tweaked it to make it less dependent on Hela and added cards that proc random draws on discard, which adds a lot of unpredictability and makes it a lot more fun to play. A lot more effective too as I’ve only lost two rounds since the start of the season.
If I'm running a discard deck I usually have Strong Guy in it. That's the only real use I can find for him.
I can't stop laughing.
I just had a match featuring the zone that applies power there to all other zones, I forget the name. I already had Sunspot there, and my opponent put down Lockjaw. f*ck. I had enough unspent energy to play She-Hulk (10), and then Emma (6) the next round, while they just played something that became Mantis, so on this last turn, I was firmly in command there, but still in a bit of a precarious spot--I was anticipating a Shang-Chi to destroy She-Hulk and any other big-ticket final round card I played there, who'd then turn into something nasty thanks to Lockjaw, but still, I figured I might eke out a win if I played my last play in a free zone, and hoped for the best. Oh. Dear Reader. Down goes The Infinaut, the worst cast scenario, one card who has claimed the entire board...at least until Lockjaw sent him back to the deck and replaced him with Bucky.
Wonderful.
Is Zola going to get a re-work or at least an updated description? It says he "makes copies" but he actually replays them. If he moves a Black Panter it double it's power again. But, the "copies" are not effected by locations. If he copies one to the location that destroys your "played" cards they won't get destroyed. I know it's semantic but when they do make destinctions between played, moved, etc. elsewhere.
Yeah there are some inconsistencies here and there with descriptions. Like Jubilee says “play” a card but it doesn’t count as playing a card for other effects.
If he copies one to the location that destroys your "played" cards they won't get destroyed.
I think this is true for all cards that are generated by other cards, I’ve seen it happen with Hela, Ghostrider, and Jubilee. They can also summon cards to closed “cards can’t be played here after turn X” locations and locations locked down by Storm. It’s either intended or a very widespread bug.

Yeah the path for Agatha is simply don't give her choices and force her to play the things you want her to play through sheer lack of options.
If she only has one 3 cost card to play on turn 3 that's what she does. The most common Agatha deck has Wave and Lady Sif in it, so basically if you have one or the other or both in hand, you have a guaranteed way of taking control of the game back from Agatha.
To run Sif and get value out of Agatha you add in Ghost Rider, and you just yank Agatha directly from the discard pile to the board for 18 power in one lane between the 2 cards. Then you include Taskmaster, and if she plays Wave and then plays herself to the board on turn 4, you Taskmaster to add a second 14 power card in another lane. Note that Taskmaster will not copy Agatha if she's pulled back on to the board by Ghost Rider.
But realistically you want only those two 3 cost cards in your deck in Wave and Sif. Don't include *any* cheaper cards, with the possible exception of Domino. Some people run Domino just to give Agatha a guaranteed way to put a few points on the board in the early turns. The math and odds centric folks will tell you this does in fact slightly decrease your odds of drawing Wave or Sif or any other combo in the deck in time, and they're right, but I tried both ways and the deck did tend to feel a little better with Domino in it, even if it is only 3 points more to the board every game.
If you get Elysium and cards cost one less it's like an 80% chance it ruins your game because Agatha will then go into full random mode and just play whatever wherever. Same goes for the zone that gives you +1 energy that turn, if that reveals on turn 3 it's a crapshoot. Be prepared to run for 1 cube whenever those moments happen.
I actually climbed about 15 ranks in a couple days and infinite split the Agatha card multiple times with that deck. It was the most consistent increase I've had in collection level in a while, simply because Agatha takes all the boosters so you're guaranteed to level a card every so many games.
It’s either intended or a very widespread bug.
Working as intended. Any card pulled to the board by another card was not played by you, so any effect relevant to the last card you played won't apply to it. This is true of Absorbing Man, Taskmaster, Mystique, and I'm sure there's more but those are the ones I could think of in the moment.

I'm sure it's working as intended but the semantics don't always line up or my interpretation of them.
Anyone have a Cerebro strategy? Mine are too easy to interrupt.
Anyone have a Cerebro strategy? Mine are too easy to interrupt.
Cerebro is kind of innately fragile to location variance. If you have Luke Cage you can save it from locations like Sewers or Jotunheim or the others, and he'll keep Scorpion from ruining the cards in your hand as they'll regain their base power the moment he's played to the board.
But he's kind of it, and he's a series 4 card so not super easy to come by. He is obtainable, as you're guaranteed a series 4 card in each set of 40 Collector's Reserves, but that could be a long wait depending.
He was my third Series 4 card after Absorbing Man and Attuma, for what it's worth, and he enables play of some other cards like Hazmat and Typhoid Mary. Hazmat, notably, is getting raised to 2/2 soon instead of her current 2/1 so she'll then be a good play in Cerebro 2 decks.
5 collector reserves, and I got...an ugly pixel variant of Mr. Sinister. >frown<
I like the pixel cards- I’m one card away from a complete pixel deck on what was my main deck before I started playing around with Agatha and Hela decks.
I'm with Space. I don't like the pixel variants and it is the one I have the most of.
Started playing this recently and I'm really enjoying it, although I'm still in the early stage where I have no idea what all these metas you are talking about and just building decks from the cards in the early stage. I know it winds people up, but I'm kinda enjoying the almost draft nature of the game, here are the cards you have, make them work together instead of "this is the best deck, go choose these cards".
As the moment I'm winning more games than I lose with a deck built around cost 1 cards and cards that boost them. I should play about with other builds for variety but this one just seems to find a way to win (again I'm very early in my experience thought) and also I know bots are a thing, so it's entirelly possible I'm playing a lot of them but it makes me feel good
