PlayStation Plus Premium Catch-All

I've been dipping into free PS Plus games this month while waiting for Baldur's Gate 3 to drop.

Tried my first Yakuza game: Yakuza Like A Dragon and all I can say is ... where have these games BEEN all my life?

Last day before the PS Plus price hikes. I ended up buying a £100 gift card for £85 on Shopto which brought the funds in my account upto £155.

I bought the PS Plus Extra for an extra year for £84.99 (which means it expires mid 2026 now) + pre-ordered Spiderman 2 for £70, that ended up being perfect usage of the money I had in my account as well as the extra gift card I just put on.

I'll reassess when 2026 comes around how good the value of PS Plus Extra is then.

Only 44 days until Spiderman 2! In a year where I've been disappointed with a lot of the big AAA titles please let Insomniac serve up a GOTY contender.

I have renewed my ps plus extra sub at the cheaper price as well. The maths just works out for me, this year I have bought Diablo and Monster Hunter as new games and that’s it, otherwise I have just played from the extra library quite happily. I will see how I feel I’m 2025 but am happy through to then.

And now one of the 3 free Sept games is a damn MMO welcome pack. What a joke. Next they'll give some Fortnite bucks and call it a game.

We're raising prices, but here are some decent old games.

Suck it, gamers.

There are a few things there I’d like to try Cloudpunk, Odin Sphere, 13 Sentinels and West of Dead.

I think last month might have been the worst PS+ lineup I can recall, which make it hilarious that they chose that lineup to complement the absurd price increases.

Next month looks great. 13 Sentinels is an incredible game that more people need to check out, and I hope to make time for Nier Replicant and Odin Sphere eventually.

13 Sentinels is awesome and so is Nier Replicant. I played the Star Ocean game last year and quite enjoyed it.

Odin Sphere is on my "bought on sale but haven't played yet." You're welcome.

So I finally made use of Demons Souls remake being on extra and wow. I own three copies of demons souls my original Hong Kong import, the eu release which I bought purely to support from to make more games like it and this remake . I have played it countless times ( although no platinum trophy because stupid pure bladestone drop rate) and a lot of the levels are pure muscle memory but this feels new whilst being the same game. The graphics are both stunning and respectful with new animations feeling seamlessly integrated. Bluepoint deserve a medal for this and it is a gold standard for remakes. If you have any interest in souls games you have to play this.

Don't sleep on Unpacking if you haven't had the chance to play it yet. It's a fun little meditative games that is less than 5 hours.

Unpacking has no appeal for me but I do feel like I should at least give it a chance.

Unpacking had no appeal for me either, so I gave it a chance and confirmed that it wasn't for me. Glad to hear all the love poured onto that game from others though.

Yeah, I didn't get all the way through the original or remake, but the remake FELT just like the original to me.

This month’s Extra (and presumably Premium) games are ready to add to your library/download.

Teardown is going to be part of November’s Extra games. Can’t wait.
