What's left for 2022?

I'm still looking forward to the Front Mission 1 remake, although I might wait and see if it comes out on PC at some point.

Well, based on reviews it looks like Saints Row is a dud. I still think it could be fun, but most definitely wait for a price drop or see if it joins gamepass

Here's a short list of things I'm excited about for the rest of the year. I'm sure I won't get all of these -- maybe 2-3. But keeping a list here will help me remember! Links are to trailers.

DioField Chronicle - Sept. 20, 2022- loved the demo!
Valkyrie Elysium - Sept. 29, 2020
Persona 5 Royal on Switch - Oct. 21, 2022
Harvestella - Nov. 4, 2022
God of War Ragnarok - Nov. 9, 2022
Tactics Ogre Reborn - Nov. 11, 2022
Dragon Quest Treasures - Dec. 9, 2022
Crisis Core: FF VII Reunion - Winter 2022 (date TBD)

At PAX I’ve seen a lot of indie games but both Splatoon 3 and Company of Heroes 3 are legit.

A few indie strategy games for me - Terra Invicta, Rule the Waves 3.

Slime Rancher 2 will launch in Early Access this year (I think later in September?).

Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord comes out of early access this year.

I think the Mario Rabbids sequel is due out this year?

I think the Front Mission remake is overdue - it was due out during the northern summer.

I’ll be interested in GWJ’s impressions of Valkyrie Elysium - the Valkyrie Profile games were formative for me, but not super keen on the new action format.

Gotham Knights is the only 2022 game still vying for pocket money, at this point.

With each video I switch between thinking it looks grindy and uninspired and thinking it’ll be enormous fun, especially with friends. Obviously I’m hoping for the latter. I feel like the more recent videos did a better job of explaining what’s fun about the game.
