I've searched these forums and can't find any references to this game outside of it being released. I thought this would be the best forum to talk about my experience.
Zenith: The Last City is a VR MMORPG released into early access in January this year and is available on Quest 2, PSVR, Oculus store and Steam.
First of all, I'm an ex WOW addict who has dabbled in Neverwinter, FFXIV, ESO and Rift so it's fair to say I'm a fan of the genre. I also love JRPG's and VR and so the whole package felt designed for me from the moment I heard about it.
My experience so far has been very positive. I joined at launch and was pretty impressed with how such a small team (9 people I believe) managed to launch with cross play across all formats. There were inevitable glitches, particularly because they outperformed expectations as far as sales were concerned but it was pretty stable within a couple of days.
Content wise, this is very bare bones. There are story quests and side quests, co-op battles, a couple of dungeons etc and cooking! There is plenty to do but it does get grindy towards the top level of 40 and the end game is pretty limited. (I've put in over 100 hours, but I just like the leveling process so have leveled a lot of the sub classes).
There are two classes available now (with another promised for this year), with a melee based class and a mage class. Each of these has three sub classes, essentially tank, support and DPS roles - yes you can be a mage tank! I usually play mages but so far I prefer the blademaster.
The movement and climbing in this game are phenomenal. You can climb pretty much anywhere - if you have the stamina, and then glide around with a suprising amount of accuracy once you get used to the controls (even on PSVR!).
Anyway, was wondering if anyone else here has tried it and what your experience has been?
