Also, my second guess was not an English word

Weird. My wife got a different word today than me.

I don't think so. It's a tablet, so date and time come from "the cloud". I'll double check her time zone settings. Maybe that got messed up.

Argh.
because mould sounds different from could, it was harder for me and I ended up guessing (wrongly) for my 4th attempt.
In other news, my wife rebooted her tablet (Samsung) and whatever caused the issue yesterday is now gone. She got it in 4.

My fiance gets all the credit for this one; I made the first two guesses myself and didn't get a single letter in the correct place, showed her what I had, she thought about it for 10 minutes or so and suggested what turned out to be the solution.
I told my bro about this game just after midnight… he solved it in 3 and spoiled it for me.
I should have mentioned we all get the same word…

I still got it in 4 but that's because the answer was the only word I could come up with, after 15 minutes of thinking, that fit the pattern I had after guess 3.
I'm thinking of moving to more random openers since the common letter openers I've been using have only been giving me one letter at best lately.

I’m really appreciating words with three vowels as the opener. I’m not sure if it actually helps, but it feels like it does.

This was deceptively a doozy because I kind of got the wrong letters to get right.
After guess three, 6 of the remaining letters made valid words, another one made a word that may or may not be valid, doubling existing letters gave another valid word and another questionable word. Honestly can't believe I got it with the next guess.
