Not alone there. My boss mentioned his death to a coworker and I, and we both had the "he was still alive?" moment. The only thing I really remember him from was the cartoon he did back in the 90's. I feel like 2022 is just getting started with RIP threads.
I'm not terribly familiar with the man and his work, but this We Hate Movies riff always gets me (conceit being imagining Louie Anderson as the sole actor to survive The Day After Tomorrow):
