I really enjoyed this episode. The beginning of 2022 has been a bit of a struggle so to hear about what is coming gaming wise cheered me up no end. I would have liked some discussion on TTRPGs and board games too, but there is only so much one can fit in.
Speaking for myself, I am certainly looking forward to Horizon: Forbidden West as I really enjoyed the original game. With respect to TTRPGs, The One Ring second edition has just landed on my doorstep so I shall be running a one shot at some point of that. Board game wise, I'm itching to get my hands on Return to the Dark Tower, a game that was born from a 1980s effort that is best left in the memory if I'm honest. By all accounts this reimagining is quite an experience.
FWIW Sackboy is on PS4 as well.
I felt like this podcast gave me a glimpse into the future of games that Rich will persuade me to buy. With Troubleshooter it's likely only a matter of time. I've had my eye on it for a while and I'm probably only one podcast rave away from pulling the trigger. Also seems like that game's frequently discounted on Steam, for what it's worth.

Good to hear what everyone is looking forward to. Here is my list. Weirdly my excitement level for Elden Ring is low but I am going to play it. Hopefully on a spanking new PS5.
Sifu - only a week to go /whimper
Horizon: Forbidden West - The visuals made me renew my efforts to acquire a PS5
God of War: Ragnarok - I really hope it’s as incredible as the first game
Last of Us Part 2 Multiplayer - At this point I’m just excited to know what Naughty Dog are cooking up. I don’t think it’s just an improved stealth based multiplayer game (although Spikeout and I would undoubtedly be happy with that.)
Season - looks like a gentle, relaxing animated movie
Stray - and here was me thinking I was more of a dog person
The Forest 2 - looking forward to some unsettling and scary co-op
Suicide Squad kills the Justice League - more co-op wiv’ superheroes. I wanna be the Shark man!
Arc Raiders - yet more co-op from the original minds behind the Battlefield series
Boundary - A space based shooter I’ll probably be terrible at
My original online name was Widgen and then, for a while, Merganser.
I hope you like thrill rides - Luis Serra, Resident Evil 4 Remake
Uncharted 4 Multiplayer: Half Nelson
I'm late to the party on this ep, but TheHarpoMarxist has sold me on another tactics game: Expeditions Rome, based almost entirely off the comparisons to HBO's Rome and Mike Duncan's History of Rome podcast.
I just need to finish my latest campaign in his previous recommendation (Phoenix Point) first!
