NFL 2021: The playoffs thread

I kinda expected the post-game thread on the Cowboys Reddit to be blaming the official spotting the ball, but they're ripping Kellen Moore, ripping McCarthy, ripping Dak for trying to spot the ball instead of handing the ball to the official and getting out of the way.

Reid so unafraid of the Steelers offense that he’s willing to punt on 4th and 1.

This game is like watching blind boxers.

Ladies and gentlemen, the 14th Doctor!

Steelers should have politely declined their playoff spot and given it to a more entertaining team.

Hot take: The Chiefs are gonna win this game.

For how often we talk about who is going to be the QB for the Browns. Who the hell is going to be the Steelers QB next year?

Are they also not a good QB away from being competitive again? Russell Wilson?

Detroit and Jacksonville could have played today and we'd be getting close to the same result.

It's a good question. It's an organization that anyone would want to play for.

I'm still not buying idea that there is any kind of divorce coming between the Seahawks and either Wilson or Carroll.

Perhaps we can interest Pittsburgh in a slightly used Jimmy Garoppolo? Maybe they only watched the first 3 quarters of Niners/Cowboys before getting ready for their own game...

They can't have Jameis. The Saints still need someone to play QB that they can afford after paying their "QB".

Can they even afford him though? Looking at the free agent qbs and all the teams that need a QB, I think he is the best one available... I could see the Washington TBDs giving him something silly like 2 for $30mil.

Bring back the Steagles!

Don't gamble kids.

You end up staying up to see if big Ben will throw a pick as the last part of a Parlay.

Schefter posted schedule for next week.

Saturday Titans Bengals Packers 49ers
Sunday Cards/Rams Bucs Bills Chiefs.

In order of early/late.

Does the NFL have concussion protocol rules? Asking for a Bosa.

Blame the NFL for putting a 7th team in. Other than maybe San Diego would you really have wanted to see NO in the playoffs?? Granted Brady might not have wanted that!

Let Brady be great on his own. Even Troy called out that bullsh*t penalty. I get that this is the NFL poster child but come on man.

[whisper]What if I told you that was the second Roughing the Passer penalty for Brady the entire season, and the Bucs were hurt more by penalties than most teams in the league . . . [/whisper]

Reminder that Guru is a Philly fan. You might be better off not posting the rest of the game. :D

Well that and Tom Brady is human garbage. Literally the worst of the worst. Diaf.

Fair question. I'm not yet convinced that the market for him this offseason, coming off an injury, is going to be any hotter than it was a year ago. But you are right that a QB needy team could decide that he's the guy for them to pursue.

His cost will fluctuate greatly if the league considers him the 30th best QB vs. the 34th best QB. I'm still guessing he ends up on the wrong side of the top 32, but that's a very loosely held opinion at this stage.

Knew they would put SF-GB primetime. Just a few degrees colder too. Gotta earn this one.

Forecasted high is 21 F, low 2 F. Damn.

Aaron Rodgers is 0-3 in games 7 degrees and below, including the 2013 divisional round game vs the 49ers (aka the Colin Kaepernick and Frank Gore run all over Lambeau game).

If the weather grounds the aerial attacks, that's a good thing for the 49ers, especially given the state of their cornerbacks.

The Niners just beat a Packers head coach Rodgers wanted fired whose current team bungled their last chance to score. Now they're going up against one Rodgers probably wanted fired for bungling their last chance to score last postseason.

Whoever called that draw play in Dallas (don’t know if McCarthy or Moore calls plays) needs to have a meeting with Jerruh today. And how on earth does Dak not give the ball to a ref?
