I didn't realize Distant Worlds 2 was a simultaneous release on Steam. Good to know.

Can't believe I forgot about this coming out this year.

I realise Horizon: Forbidden West wasn’t on my original ‘most anticipated’ list. I am excited for it but, unlike other games that are on the way, it feels like an unknown quantity to me. There is a Horizon game in my head that I doubt Forbidden West will be because I think it would have to be PS5 only. I enjoyed the original but, other than the dinosaur robot fighting, which I adored, it felt a bit of an uninspiring open world. I imagine Forbidden West could be so much better, it looks better, but I can also see it being a little underwhelming again.

Long story short: Mixed feelings but fingers crossed.

My top 10 games I am looking forward to in (hopefully) 2022, ranked in order of whether or not I think I will be playing it in 2022.

1. Horizon: Forbidden West
2. Sifu
3. God of War: Ragnarok
4. Marvel's Midnight Suns
5. Tunic
6. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2
7. Fallen Order 2
8. Knights of the Old Republic Remake
9. Beyond Good and Evil 2
10. Dragon Age 4

But as always, the thing I am most excited about is the thing that is awesome that I don't yet know about.

I just saw a tweet by, I think Jeff Grubb, that said he heard Fallen Order 2 is expected in fall of 22. And the KOTOR remake in 2023

I forget because I already bought it at Kickstarter. They've proven they can make fun stuff so just waiting to play it as soon as it releases.

FYI it's in alpha. Not sure I got a code. But it started this week, based on the last kickstarter email.

Steam Early Access expected in Q2 this year, so it may still hit 2022 for full release.

- Cyberpunk RPG.

I knew I was forgetting something! I even had that one on my Steam wishlist, ever since I saw the trailer last summer.

Also from my Steam wishlist, also with a cyberpunk aesthetic but in this case with a pixely mix of 2D action and 3D exploration:

ANNO: Mutationem

Total War: Warhammer III

The Witcher 3 Graphical Update.

Space Marine 2, Homeworld 3, Company of Heroes 3
(but probably not until 2023)

Baldur's Gate 3 - but if they have to push that out to ensure the game gets all the time it needs, I'm TOTALLY FINE with that

Wartales (if it comes out of EA or gets substantial reworking by then).

The new WH40K Grey Knights XCOM game (again if it comes out by then).

The new Jagged Alliance title (if it's not a cheap budget production).

Heck, possibly that new Squenix successor to FFT that's got everyone excited (only possibly since it's slated for Switch exclusive and I don't have that console).

Good call on Tiny Tina, it does look great!

I loved Space Marine so I hope the sequel is good! Also hope they add multiplayer as well like the first one!

I missed a few others so will add Darktide and Weird West!

1) God of War
2) Tiny Tina's Wonderland
3) Lost Ark

Half-Life 3. This is the year, I can feel it!
