NFL 2021: The Week 16 thread

Heh Rhule and Judge have the same BS lines.

What bothers me the most as a Giants fan is that their ownership, or at least half of it in Mara, has already apparently said Judge and Jones will be back. If he picks an internal hire in Abrams for GM, I will be beyond pissed...THey need an outside hire for GM who has the power to evaluate Jones and Judge and let HIM make a decision otherwise the Giants will be another Al Davis/Jerry Jones mess of a franchise and their meddling. That is what gets me the most nervous and blocks my "light at the end of tunnel.

They better get an outsider GM to leverage the 2 first round picks and get a DL and OL or I am done watching this team until they get their head our of their ass. Man, talk about a blindspot and Mara's sh*tty loyalty.

I didn't watch it, but I see there is an "S. Smith" at WR who caught a very long pass, and Cam Newton throwing passes. So . . . nostalgia? Does anybody have the number of a D. Hall or S. Davis who plays RB?

Sounds like AB has finally learned his lesson this time…I’m sure Brady had a stern talking to him.

Yeah, if only you guys did not want me to not forfeit documents, we wouldn't have all this drama.

It's the return of Big Nick Energy.

Funny you mention it, but there was a T. Brady who played QB for the Bucs today. I remember a Tom Brady who played QB for the Patriots back in the day. I wonder if the Bucs' Brady is the Patriots' Brady's son or nephew or cousin?

Kinda-related edit: This rando on Twitter roasts Matt Rhule and his two QB system with two specific examples from today's game.

I've watched some terrible Panthers teams in the past, but this is the first time that they've never really had a clue AND I'm being gaslit about the whole experience.

Oh my gawd. That's one for the record books.

He's gonna be fired tomorrow, right?

I want to support an owner giving a coach some time to see how he is instead of sh*t canning him over a couple mediocre seasons, but there's just not much here worth sticking around for, ya? Daniel Jones isn't showing any improvement that isn't counted with a negative at the same time. The team overall is just blah.

Gettleman definitely has his blind spots and issues building a modern team, but I have no idea why keeping the rest of the gang together makes much sense in this scenario.

Maybe a couple OL and WRs will suddenly turn the offense around. And some injury luck.

But probably not when your team is built for playing defense in the 1980s or whatever.

Oh yeah, and the WFT are fighting each other on the sidelines, too.

Yikes, Jonathan Allen threw a serious punch out there.

Meanwhile, Dallas scored what I believe was the third big boi TD of the day.

This may sound weird but I keep forgetting WTF even exists as a team.

To be fair, you put your finger on someone's head like that while standing over them, you have to know a punch is likely coming back at you.

I don't think I could name someone other than Heineke that's on the team. For some reason, I kept wanting to say London Fletcher.

I mean, if we are playing pick ups at the local playground, sure, but I'll hold pros who make millions to a higher standard.

Jimmy G out with hand injury at least 4 weeks. Trey time. Playoffs or bust

Well the injury sure explains why Garoppolo tanked so badly after the hot streak he was on.

Hope Trey is ready to roll.

Man he must get hurt often

What the f*ck is an Ian Book?

And Jags keep GM Baalke. Heh sorry Legion

Damn, James Robinson tore his Achilles. Not a good injury for RBs.

Of course they did

Jags gonna Jag.

Hire Pederson or Caldwell or I might just bounce. Another POS like Urban and I'm done for good.

He threw the winning touchdown on Monday Night Football.

I understand if he feels like he needs to cope with Jag horrors with video game horrors:

Zach Wilson has a higher PFF grade than Trevor Lawrence. Didn't expect that...

Where is Thursday football?

I donno, Wilson has something closer to a stable situation and a positive environment to learn. I think too often we throw rookies (and especially rookie QBs) into impossible situations and lament that they aren't good. See the last 22 years or so of my fandom.

Um... Today is Tuesday.

We still don't have football in two days. ;(

There's at least 3 bowl games a day, even with cancellations, every day this week. Think we're good on football.
