Would someone please post the two Game of the Year lists? I listened to the podcast but didn't manage to catch the lists.

Metallic Child sounded interesting so I looked it up. They launched a game in 2021 where the main character is called "Rona." Kind of an unfortunate choice of a name for these times. The game does look fun, though.
I was also recently writing up my post for the community GOTY thread and I very much have the same type of reaction to It Takes Two than Glendon. It is one of the best co-op games I've ever played but the writing is absolutely awful. Last week, Lara made some interesting remarks about how Psychonauts 2 deals with the topic of consent and It Takes Two has some serious issues with that.
