NFL 2021: The Week 14 thread

Good news, Enix; I see rumors that Sam Darnold is being activated off IR, and will practice today.

WFT now has 17 players on COVID list, including almost their whole D-line and backups. Should be a fun game Sunday.

And yet they will still be a more effective team than anyone on the field in the Jags/Texans game.

Tanier with one for the Giants fans here:

Per Vacchiano's source: "(Mara) loves Judge. He thinks he's found his (Bill) Belichick or (Bill) Parcells."

Try not to giggle (non-Giants fans) or sob (Giants fans) uncontrollably, dear readers.

Vacchiano's reporting reinforces everything Walkthrough has seen/read/heard emanating from East Rutherford over the last few months. Judge—whose coaching drove several veterans to retirement at the start of training camp, who thinks fourth-and-1 near midfield while trailing is a prime punting opportunity, and who has difficulty with the sort of technology kindergartners used to learn phonics last year—has somehow emerged victorious from a quiet coup at Giants headquarters. Of course, his prime challengers were Dave Gettleman (likely to retire) and Jason Garrett (fired), so this was much more like a game of Hungry Hungry Hippos than of thrones.

IT'S A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE, except the exact opposite.

First Meyer said he thought Andre Cisco was playing more, and now that it's been pointed out he's not getting any defensive snaps at all, Meyer's story has changed, and boy is it a good one...

Urban is producing this sh*t too rapidly, I can't keep up.

Urban Meyer reportedly kicked former Jaguars kicker Josh Lambo during warm-ups.

Then Lambo was approached by head coach Urban Meyer, who doesn’t call Jaguars specialists by their names.

“It was ‘Kicker, Punter, Long snapper,’” Lambo said. “Or S--tbag, Dips--t or whatever the hell it was.”

The names didn’t bother Lambo, but what the former Florida Gators coach did next, Lambo said, were the actions of a mean-spirited bully.

“I’m in a lunge position. Left leg forward, right leg back,” Lambo said. “... Urban Meyer, while I’m in that stretch position, comes up to me and says, ‘Hey Dips--t, make your f--king kicks!’ And kicks me in the leg.”

Lambo spoke for the first time publicly about what he said happened to him in an interview with the Tampa Bay Times.

“It certainly wasn’t as hard as he could’ve done it, but it certainly wasn’t a love tap,” Lambo said. “Truthfully, I’d register it as a five (out of 10). Which in the workplace, I don’t care if it’s football or not, the boss can’t strike an employee. And for a second, I couldn’t believe it actually happened. Pardon my vulgarity, I said, ‘Don’t you ever f--king kick me again!’ And his response was, ‘I’m the head ball coach, I’ll kick you whenever the f--k I want.’”

Is Urban Meyer a cartoon? I'm not sure. He might actually be a cartoon.

Again, I, personally, appreciate this team letting me know my Sundays are free for the rest of the year by late September.

And the cartoon is Cobra Commander.

Trevor Lawrence currently has all the accuracy of GI Joe and/or Cobra, so the metaphor works very well.

The waiver wire is gonna be hot and full of names you've never heard before!

Heck, the Jags might win another game this week!

Whatever he is he should be fired for physically assaulting an employee. f*ck him.

And if he's doing that now he probably did it to some college kids and should have been drummed out of coaching long ago

Short and crappy WEEK 15 THREAD.

I'm not feeling it this week so y'all are going to have to step up. Which is probably what Cam said to the Panthers' O-line on Sunday and well.

It would totally be worth my job to choke out that old man if he kicked me at work.
