Feeling good about approving that trade, Juan Soto?
Holy crap. That's massive for the NL.
Whoa.

Not really for this season since he hasn’t played anyway. Huge for going forward, though. He’s saying that it was because of ringworm medication and massively screwed up by not going through the MLB.

Ya, pretty BS excuse. He was busted for an anabolic steroid that would have been injected. Not a topical cream steroid that could be in ringworm meds.
Interesting week for people who took things that they shouldn't have.
Given his problems getting on the field this year, he probably took it to try to speed up the healing process, thinking he wouldn't get tested while on the IL.
Lol. So apparently there is a steroid in ringworm medication called Clobetasol.
Tatis tested positive for Clostebol... not Clobetasol. Someone Googled the wrong steroid and didn't notice it was slightly different name before coming up with his excuse.

I’m pretty sure this is true for many of the recent steroid suspensions.

Oh I love this.
I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop but for the moment the Yankees really are something else.
Verlander vs Cease is the free game on MLB.TV today if you want to watch a Cy Young race matchup.

Yankees finally get a dub tonight on a walk-off grand slam.
They were down three runs at the time, and, via Jon Bois, here's all the previous times it's happened in Baseball history, not including tonight:
Yeah, someone's gotta investigate that.

I know there's more because Steve Pearce hit a walk off grand slam that won it for the Blue Jays, the difference was they were down by 7 runs to start the 9th inning.
Edit: Looks like you're missing a key piece of info, Pred. This might be only the 5th time this has happened in extra innings.
So, one of the weirder games I've watched happened last night.
Tigers had the chance to win a season series against Cleveland, the first time since 2015. Leading 4-1 in the 8th, and then...this happens.
Just....I mean I guess you can't do much else other than tip your hat to Cleveland?
That's insane. 4 strikeouts and give up 6 runs in the same inning

Baseball is so great for weird shit like this.
Ohtani going 4-5 with a HR, triple, and 4 RBIs in an 11-7 loss is another one of those moments.
Gotta admit I'm really intrigued by this "lose all the goddamn time" strategy the Yankees have been going with post-All-Star break.

It's karma for all those Altuve chants.

...I don't think that really applies here...

I'm for it and would love to see more!
#693 for Pujols tonight. Dudes on some heater.
Would love for him to get to 700

solid win tonight, at least.
Pretty impressive season for a guy nearing 50. Some Julio Franco shit.
An issue with American professional sports is that you can be objectively terrible as an owner, and end up walking away from it even richer than when you came in.

To be fair, Mike Ashley managed that even after two relegations.
Baltimore just won its series with Houston (if they beat Verlander tomorrow I will wet myself, figuratively) while holding Houston to 1 run in 18 innings. AFTER trading Mancini to Houston!

He's gonna force the Yankees to give him the most absurd contract.
2 more tonight, including a grand slam.
LOL and LOL.
51 before September.
All. The. Money.
Who wants to feel f*cking old?!
