Kings trade for Kevin Fiala, giving up the 19th overall pick and one of their approximately 900 RHD prospects, Brock Faber.

Landed that goal scoring top-6 winger they so desperately needed, and gave up nothing that they're likely to miss (besides the money spent on Fiala's new contract).

FTFY

For somebody that's just one of approximately 900 RHD prospects, the Kings sure put a lot of effort into signing him after his season ended this year.

Bit of advice, don't expect too much of Fiala. That way the times he's actually good will be a pleasant surprise and the times he's absolutely invisible won't be as much of a disappointment. And, when you get to the playoffs, it's best to just assume he's not even on the roster.

Just wanted to show him off a bit and pump up his value before sending his ass packing in the offseason, instead of giving that ice time to emergency rental Troy Stecher. Team had already called Jordan Spence up, and Faber was looking up at Clarke and Grans on the RHD prospect ladder.

That inconsistency was just due to his depression from having to live in Minnesota. Understandable, really. First Nashville and then that. A beautiful house in Redondo Beach and he'll remember why he came to America.

A year ago, he was proposing to his girl on the beach in Cabo. He knows the beaches out this way are the place to be.

Why do you cheer for the Kings and not the Sharks?

Because my parents are married.

Caps offloaded their 2 inconsistent goalies and picked up the Stanley Cup winning Darcy Kuemper.
