Wow what an OT finish between the NYR and Toronto!

Check out this non stop action in OT

The new tv partners are doing a good job with ESPN. They look like they're taking the game seriously... and the Devils are 2-0? Must be early.

Canucks are atrocious to start the year. Looks like the experiment of staying with one of the worst management team's in North American professional sports and a bad coach is not paying off.

So jealous of you guys signing Douggie Hamilton.

Habs' Cinderella run last playoffs got me back into watching them, then management wasted a 1st round pick on a sex offender. So the 0-5 start is kind of enjoyable.

I hate the sport that I love.

I watched Kyle Beach's interview yesterday and it was absolutely brutal.

Jonathan Toews didn't exactly cover himself in glory on this one, nor did Blackhawks head coach Jeremy Colliton.

Although, inadvertently, they did speak to the cultural problem at the root of this. I don't want to smear, but it's hard to read their words and not surmise that, for both, their issue remains the creation of "a distraction" and not, y'know.... the heinous sexual assault, and that's before we discuss who they might ultimately blame. And they're definitely not alone.

He teased them into thinking they could get to the bench for a change, then just drove through the middle of four guys with tired legs. Smart play.

Greetings. Let me see if I can explain this: I'm, or was, a great hockey fan. But as time marches on, games on hockey became very complex to me. I have slow reflexes with old eyes. So if I wanted to play a hockey game to enjoy, is there such a one for a fella like me?

I wish I could answer but hockey games are sparse. I haven’t even played a console game since the 360.

NHL 22 does have an NHL 94 control scheme option.

Yeah, it's thin on the ground. The only options I'm familiar with are the NHL series (if you want to control the people on the ice) or Eastside Hockey Manager (if you wanna be a GM), but that's literally it.

Meanwhile, I am trying not to let the Blueshirts get my hopes up.

I know but it's not easy, they have some nice talent now!

The new Devils jerseys look alright, but they look awful in some photos. Still, they could have put more effort into it. They ran out of the charity hats that said "HAT" already... bummer !

Well Austin Matthews is back I guess

With 17 goals on 4.8 expected goals, the Leafs Wings game is by far the worst combined goaltending game since the NHL's event tracking started in 2007. Previous worst game was Jets 9-8 win over the Flyers in 2011 with 8.7 goals above expected.

LA Kings are 8-1-1 in their last 10m. Up to 2nd in the Pacific, 5th in the West.

That long-touted pipeline of prospects finally starting to pay off!

Ovechkin scored twice to hit 50 goals for the season last night in Vegas. He's now tied for the most 50 goal seasons at 9. Caps still managed to lose the game in overtime, though. I'd love to see the Caps get past the first round come playoff time, but I'm not holding my breath. Since winning the cup they've been out in the first round all 3 times.

Kings lock in #3 in the Pacific!

Not bad for a team pretty much nobody had making the playoffs before the season.

Get f*cked VGK.

My unsolicited opinion of the LA Kings -- A noteworthy factor to them making the playoffs is the poor performance of the teams beneath them. They feel like a wildcard slot skill level to me. Although, my opinion of the Kings is influenced by how uninteresting I find their line-up to be. I can't quite put my finger on it, but for a few years now they just seem to have boring players.

Get f*cked VGK.

The Kings backed into the playoffs with the Golden Knights so crippled that they can barely scrape by bad teams and the Canucks staging an on-ice rebellion against management to start the season.

I REALLY like the Kings. They have more defensive prospects than any other team and some elite-level young forwards. They may not pan out but they are set for a long time if the right players are identified.

Don't underestimate the power of Phillip Danault! (Just try not to play him on special teams).

The playoffs have started, just FYI.

I mention this because the Rangers and Penguins are currently in OT and i hate it i hate it i hate it i hate it

Damn right they have. Kings kicked things off with a road win in Edmonton.

To which I must also say: f**k Evander Kane and f**k any franchise that would still employ him in $CURRENT_YEAR.

Damn, triple overtime?

Last time I watched the Rangers go into multiple overtimes in the playoffs was, well...

FROWNY FACE

The Wild finished with the second best record in the West and their reward was to play the team with the fourth best record which also happens to be a team that the Wild always play like sh*t against. Great playoff system you have there NHL.

FFFFFF Penguins
