NBA 2021-22 Season Catch-All

Any shots being made after doing this should be worth an extra point.

Chris Paul with 4 fouls in the first half, and fouls out with 9 minutes left in the 4th. Wow

Legitimately or with "ref assistance"?

Sacramento hires Mike Brown to coach the Kings. Also, Mike Brown will coach the Warriors tonight because Steve Kerr tested positive for COVID.

Smart was definitely shooting. Hard foul made it tough to see the motion. Hm.

Well executed FT miss down 2 though. Just couldn't tip it in quick enough. Multiple chances.

Good game.

Yup. Smart is known for his 3 point shooting and not his foul baiting. It was a great miss on the FT, TBF.

Ja Morant may miss the rest of the playoffs. Cue the dirty team accusations.

I gotta say this playoffs has had some of the worst officiating I can remember in the playoffs for a long time. Just every series has games with multiple bad calls, like really bad. I wonder what is up with that, it has to be something systemic for it to be universal across the ref teams.

Marcus Smart gotta hand over the DPOY trophy to Jrue after that.

EDIT: LOL

Yeah I’d lose sleep over that end if I were him. Lost the rebound that led to the Portis go-ahead shot, had a clear path to the basket but went up weak and got stuffed, then stripped on the final opportunity. Woof.

Blocking out on FTs is basic fundamentals. Oh well

LOL, GOOD LORD MEMPHIS

Memphis has the most confusing Ewing theory going on.

Their regular season record without Morant is also confusing.

Bomani Jones was talking about this RE: Luka earlier today.

Ja and Luka are both incredibly good players, however, when they're on the court, their teams play a lot of the Bel-Air High offense. It's not necessarily that I think their teammates are Good Actually, but that kind of ball-dominance has ups (they're both good enough to do it and win games) and downs (it might behoove both to try and get their teammates more involved).

It was ridiculous. My favorite joke about this.

Yeah Ja can be a bit of a ball hog and just drives over and over again into double teamed contested layups. He is a net positive, but when he is out Memphis plays more team ball. Also I don't think his style of play is sustainable and I hope he learns soon less injury-prone ways to play, or he is going to be Derrick Rose part 2.

James Harden missed a floater with 8:54 left in the first quarter -- the Danny Green injury play. That was the last 2-pointer that Harden took for the rest of the elimination game.

James Harden played the entire third quarter and took one shot, a 3-pointer. He missed it. No free throws. Two turnovers.

Ben Simmons last year:

Jimmy Harden, this year:

Also, incredibly sad that they can't have an outdoor party in Milwaukee for Game 7 because [REDACTED DUE TO ASSORTED D&D TOPICS]

Suns about to go to half with about 30… hard to imagine this happening a few weeks ago.

Yeah 27 points at half.

I’m sure there have been worse NBA halves, but this is the worst half of basketball I’ve ever *watched* an NBA team play.

It's definitely working so far!

Good LORD the CP3 slander will be historic at this rate.

(Warriors in 6, max, over Dallas.)

Might as well just take the redeye out of the country.

First flight to LeBron Island.

Un-believable.

There's "going out sad" and then there's.......

Too bad both Game 7's tonight ended up being blowouts.

I was a CP3 defender, but I can't after this. He has to reveal he's actually got Stage 4 cancer or something.

That was just sad. I feel bad for Paul. I don't agree that the losses are on him. I don't really understand what happened in either of these games today, it just seemed like teams gave up, it is just weird.

I don't think the Warriors are much better than the Mavs, I think the next series is a toss-up.

Luka was on a McChickens, vodka and hookah diet all summer. And still led the Mavs to the WCF

Cp3 gonna have to go get a Gary Payton ring I'm so sad

I am suddenly intrigued about this diet.

Pat Bev on ESPN today went above and beyond historic.

Edit: Four hours on the air and he's still going.

Warriors vs Mavs will be dangerous for the dubs.
Imagine following the same path as the Suns, up 2-0 at home, then Mavs have certainly proved they can win theirs at home. Or, the dubs have had some serious mental collapse games so imagine if the Mavs steal one on dubs turf?

Now on the dubs positive side, the dubs have proven they can go lights out at home. Plus while not a given, they can easily steal an away game.

And then you factor in the weird injuries/absences this post season... Plus people have to give Kerr his series props. The dubs are not the same team without him on the bench. They may need to remote life presence if he is out a game(s) for whatever reason.

I am hopeful for the dubs but VERY nervous. The frustrating thing is the inconsistency. At their top, no one can match them. But they have lapses and known flaws.
