My OLED came in today and I immediately noticed the weight difference, before I even tried turning it on. I had completely forgotten about that change until I picked it up the first time. That plus the screen has made me a very happy upgrader.

Didn't they just put out an update for the Dock that explicitly enables this?
They put out a SteamOS update for it. Not sure about the official Dock as I don't have one.
None of my docks explicitly say they support HDR. Looks like some USB-C to HDMI 2.1 docks do mention HDR support.
Edit:
If someone has managed to get this to work I'm curious what hardware they used. The official Dock specs don't mention HDR support. It seems likely Valve would make that work if they could. The fact that the official Dock has a DP 1.4 port is compelling. I've been playing Rocket League with the Deck docked but the display I'm using only supports it's full refresh rate and VRR over DP, not HDMI. I can get 120hz without VRR to work over HDMI with my current docks which is not terrible. But still no HDR. If the official Dock gets me high refresh, VRR, and HDR then I might go that direction. If it doesn't get me HDR then I'll keep looking for another option that does.
UGREEN has a USB-C dock that claims to support 4k@120hz + HDR10 (+ 8k@30hz but who cares) but I'm not assuming that will work perfectly with the Deck. Might buy it through Prime and if it doesn't do what I want return it.
HDR still didn’t work with the Deck using this dock. I tried the dock with 2 (Windows) laptops and HDR worked properly. So far I’m not convinced the Deck really supports HDR on external displays yet or, if it does, it’s very picky/finicky.
Anyone seeing evidence that it actually works?
You can technically get Alan Wake 2 running on a Steam Deck.
It won't start if you have less than 16GB of memory, and the Deck reserves 1GB for the GPU. But you can use -nomemcheck as a parameter when you start it.
However, it looks so bad the graphics are more horrifying than any moment in the game itself. So I don't recommend it. Still, if you don't mind playing in the ~25 FPS range on the lowest settings, it is possible.
Sidenote: FSR is just really bad with hair. Get on that hair upscaling tech, AMD.
My OLED's A button sticks a bit on the top side of the button. It definitely sticks if you push the button towards the top. Any idea how I can improve this? Maybe just extra plastic on there? I dont want to send it in if not necessary. Thanks
My regular model had that issue at first but it went away with use.
My OG deck has had a weird issue with a weak connection to controllers, losing input if line of sight is broken like even through your legs. I haven't had this with Xbox controllers on any other device.
Anyone have this? Could I get an Xbox adapter for PC to improve things?
Ended up getting a 512 etched version for 275 and love it. Only downside is it has a mushy L1 button which seems to be an easy fix and common issue. Luckily Vampire survivor needs no buttons

That and Halls of Torment eat a lot of my SD time.
Posted my LCD Deck in the Trading Post thread if anyone's looking for a Deck.
Valve To Steam Deck Owners: Stop Huffing Its Vent Fumes
I don't even own a Steam Deck (yet), and now I know the first thing I'm doing when I get one.
I'm glad to see I'm not the only person that that thinks it smells kind of nice. That said, I'm not a nutcase, so I haven't stuck my nose over the vent and taken a big whiff.
I just tried it and, while I'm not going to start doing it regularly (if only because I barely use my Steam Deck), I have to say I kinda like the smell too.
It's like when you go fill your car up and catch a little whiff of gasoline.
Maybe they can partner with G. Paltrow.

I nearly posted that but self edited
tl;dr audio jack has buzzing/interference when using wired headphones.
I can reproduce on my own OLED Deck, but I can only hear it when there's no active audio.
I don't have the best hearing, but I am using IEMs (in ear monitors). Valve apparently thinks they've solved it but you have to send your Deck in.
https://www.amazon.com/FAAEAL-Conduc... - by all accounts and reports I’ve read these should handle any buzzing or interference if you don’t want to send it in.
Surprisingly all these games are from the last few months. Also surprised Remnant 2 isn't on the list.
I play a lot of Rocket League:
KENSHI
I enjoyed the 42 day streak tidbit.
It's been a strange year.
I was doing good with the deck until I got hooked into BitBurner again.

LOL. I only played 8 games this year. That's absurdly low but somehow the median is 4.
70% of my play time was Dota.
16% was Starfield.
9% was Horizon Zero Dawn.
The other 5% was mostly Vampire Survivors and Titanfall 2 (which is only like 6 hours long).
My second most played game of the year, Diablo 4, wasn't on Steam until like a month ago and I'm not rebuying it just to have it there.

I downloaded mine, then posted it to Twitter, then grabbed the image link.
I used Imgur basically the same way, with a Hidden post.
