Why am I only learning about video game plays just now?!
I wish you guys would stop encouraging him.

I'm as disappointed as anyone that people could see this poster art and then opt out.
Or this production still. I mean COME ON.
LastSuprise: Destroyer of Wallets would be an excellent tag and/or third handle for you.

I'm still disappointed I didn't get down to Edinburgh to see it! I was *this close* to making it but i couldn't really afford it at the time and a bunch of other stuff got in the way.

I just couldn't afford the 640K of memory required.
Shoutout to the GWJ Adventure Game Club being featured on the podcast. Come join us! And well done, Eleima!
Madre de Dios! Es el pollo diablo!
Happy to see Eastshade getting mentions. I loved that game a LOT!

If circumstances ever conspire for me to be performing literally anything in Edinburgh down the road, rest assured I will use whatever sway I can to acquire comps and memory boosts for all Goodjers.

Please do, 'cause I might actually be able to show up next time

Another great episode! Great to hear Eleima on the cast, I appreciate the move to get prominent community members on.
I was enjoying Eastshade too (funnily, one of my kids saw me playing and thought it was Skyrim) but then got my hands on Mass Effect LE and have fallen in love with it all over again. As the hosts said, there really is nothing else like it.
I think it may be Eastshade’s influence in that I’m currently enjoying walking and talking more than combat, but just being in Mass Effect again is... *mwah*
Was there ever a spoiler section on Mass Effect? Regardless, I’d happily listen to another deep dive on it with this same panel.
sorry Eastshade, I’ll be back, I promise...

Thank you for the kind words! And yeah, I get it, I'm glad I finished Eastshade before Mass Effect came out, to be honest. Despite playing it every few years, it's got its claws in me, big time.
To the surprise of absolutely no one.
If I have to fly up, I WILL. Don't think I won't!!!!
Thousand Year Old Vampire sounds incredibly fascinating. I’ve just bought it for my wife. She’s sort of a non-gamer. Games give her anxiety. It’s related to childhood trauma I think. I hope I’m not over sharing on her behalf. TYOV sounds like something she might actually love. Of course there’s always the chance that upon presenting it to her she’ll look at me like I’m wearing a wig of spaghetti noodles, put it on a shelf, and promptly forget about the strange and uncomfortable interaction.
Do the required dice come with the print edition or will I need to buy those separately?
When I went to Tim Hutchings website, this was on the front page.
I went to the site with the specific intent of buying the game. Reading this made the act of buying the game feel fun.

Personally, I don’t shun centrists, or near righties. This has to do with some personal philosophies that I insist on living by. I understand why some people do, and that’s ok too.

Also it was great to hear Eleima on the pod. Let’s have her back some day soon. Yes?
If I had a robotic hand like Luke and Vader I could keep playing bass until I passed out.

So I finally worked up the courage to listen to the podcast, since I’ve been listening every week in the past… 8? 9 years? And… all I have to add is that, when the thread of the week came up, I felt like Captain America.
I don't know if the physical edition comes with dice, but all you need is a d10 and a d6. A free diceroller app should also solve for that issue!
I think its a fantastic game for folks who don't play a ton of games. Especially people who enjoy journaling, as there's some real crossover there and the rules are so simple. Plus, it is beautiful as a thing.

Eleima would fit perfectly into the panel of regulars. Y’all should really consider asking her.

For Secret Stan this past year, I gifted a physical copy of Thousand Year Old Vampire. It does indeed look great, however, you only get the book.
In other words, no dice.

Thanks. Good to know. The only thing I own that resembles D&D dice are these dice with chords on them. You’re supposed to roll them and then arrange them into a logical chord progression, then play that chord progression and turn it into a song. Super fun, but not exactly what 1KyoVamp is calling for.
Thanks again, Aristophan.
