NBA 2020-21 Season Catch-All

Well I watched Tenet last night instead. A couple hours well spent.

My wife and I started a Fast and Furious rewatch.

And NBA fans complain about load management.

We can get back to the true meaning of this thread tonight, but this fact never fails to make me laugh. They literally left two amazing players on IR all season long, and then brought them back just in time to beat the living daylights out of everyone in the playoffs.

That's incredible.

Real talk. Last night was the first night in a couple of months where I began to dread the previous sports season pattern of summer. These playoffs have been so fun, I don't think I can deal with that dead period before football.

Well you've got 9 F&F movies, that should kill a week or two of dead time.

Maybe find a good sports series/documentary.

I would heavily recommend watching anything that requires thought after watching multiple F&F films. The whiplash will absolutely kill you.

Is there somewhere to stream them? I remember looking a year ago and I could not find anywhere that had all of them on streaming, just purchase.

https://www.justwatch.com/

Looks like Peacock has a couple and HBO has a couple. Kind of weird, Universal should own them all so should all be on Peacock.

I got the blu-ray set before Fast 8 for $30 for 7 6 (we don't watch the 2nd one) movies at Amazon one day.

Looks like right now the 7 film set is $32 and 8 film set is $45 and 8 by itself is $14. Maybe check https://www.blu-ray.com/ for sales.

This is what the dead period will be like eh?

Competitive first half.

It doesn’t really feel like the Clippers deserve this win, if that’s how it ends.

Edit- :O

Also meant to say earlier: feels like the lottery gods got it pretty right tonight.

I'm sorry, that game just ended HOW?

It was all too familiar to me. Quite a few years ago the post-LeBron Heat beat my Hornets on a similar .3 second alley oop to D-wade.

I actually didn’t remember you could do that. That it wouldn’t be goaltending to do it like that. Really smart play to draw up. You almost never see that, because you assume the center won’t get free to the rim.

Underrated pass by Crowder. That was a tough angle.

my wife sometimes complains about how “just two more minutes” in a game can stretch to 15.

Statmuse actually measured this game. The final 90 seconds took 33 real time minutes and there were as many reviews, 5, as field goals.

I still think they left too much time on. Looked like about .4 to me on the replay. And the rules say anything more than a tip takes at least .3 seconds, so it went from .9 to .7 how?

Ah well. Good thing Playoff P missed those FTs or we wouldn't have got that spectacular ending. Hahahahaha.

Gotta love Ayton. Credits Crowder as the game winner.

To be fair, the pass was perfect.

Another angle from a fan

That's three years in a row where there's a new addition to "Best Game Winner" category.

The viewership share for the 2021 NBA Playoffs is at its highest since 2002, when the league started tracking it.

I want to make a thinking emoji to so, so many different takes right now.

There's a lot to not like about professional sports.

And then there's pictures like this.

It will be interesting to see what happens with a Milwaukee vs Phoenix final.

Will the Suns in 4 guy beat up some Bucs fans??

I wanted Jazz Bucks for guaranteed Louisville champion. Ah well.

Will never stop giggling at Bomani Jones calling him "Trae Debarge"

Bucks finally lose at home, wow

When he first started, I thought he was saying Trader Barge. I googled it and couldn't find anything, so I just assumed it was something from the Black community that I didn't get for... reasons.

It wasn't until he explained it on his podcast thatI understood he was referring to the Debarge Family music group. And I didn't understand it still until I googled these images...

The Clippers are really unlikeable. Especially when they get calls like this.
