NBA 2020-21 Season Catch-All

Lakers rooting for Dame so no one notices them getting run over by the Suns.

Well those were 3 terrible last 90 second possessions for Portland.

Jacked up 3, missed dunk, step out of bounds.

Dame should have just shot it all 3 times, at least one would have went in and it would be tied.

And he was fouled there in 2OT.

Now back to Los Angeles getting its ass kicked (don't hurt me next week when I'm actually in Los Angeles).

If the Blazers lose this, how long before Dame gets a guest hosting gig on Jeopardy?

Can POR please get Dame a legit sidekick? He's the goddamn Batman and he's got no backup. Not even an Alfred.

Holy sh*t Dame.

He is...... That dude.....

...honestly, it's kind of unfair that we lionize the players who we know are busting their ass but will never win a NBA title. Because Dame f*cking deserves to go wherever he wants to get one.

That dude.... I hope Portland appreciates him. He's the best you've had since Clyde (arguably since Walton), and he's never going to get that dub.

FWIW, I'd put Dame above Clyde, especially considering Clyde was never the same in Portland after Jordan destroyed him. Dame just keeps getting better, even as his team loses.

He’s the best Blazer ever and as a fan I personally hope if we can’t put a championship team around him that he gets a chance to do it elsewhere. He deserves it.

47 in the first quarter. Jazz mean business tonight

Trae is absolutely the most hated man in NYC since Reggie Miller, and he earned it.

I don't think the Hawks advance, but that boy? Whew. I can only appreciate.

And 75 at half, whew.

Trae, on the bow:

"I know there are a lot of shows in this city and I know what they do when the show is over."

I thought continuation wasn’t a thing anymore. Kawhi got fouled at the arc.

That's a Saved By The Bell gif isn't it?

The Clippers tanked for this series.

It’s pretty great. Tanking should never be karmically rewarded.

Kawhi, Toronto would welcome you back with open arms. Return our son, let us truly “run it back”.

Backbreaking offensive rebound with a minute left. Portland...

Lebron looks hurt tonight. The Lakers are done... I never understood why they won a championship last year and then let a bunch of those players walk. Hubris I guess.

YO.

It is halftime and this sh*t is a WRAP.

EDIT: That explains it.

I saw that. That does explain it. Lol

I'm still enjoying it. Hehehe

This is the first time LeBron has played in the playoffs and not made the finals since 2010.

I dunno I actually thought this version of their team was a better 'team' on paper at the start of the year.

I'd rate it as injuries/fatigue for them this year. Also people don't want to put an * on last year but it really was a different year. So ya last years title counts no * but it was definitely a unique year compared to others.

They should call the 2020 championship The Practice Court Championships.

Most basketball insider people agree that 2020 was a harder year to win than usual. When presented with the idea that the championship should come with an asterisk, people said no, should come with a badge of honor.

Yeah, I wouldn't call 2020 an asterisk championship. It was definitely different. Harder in some ways, because everyone's legs were fresh and there was no home court advantage. Easier in some ways for the same reasons.

If anything 2021 should be eyed slightly suspiciously because of the toll 2020 took on teams. The final game of the 2020 season was less than 7 months ago and this season has been notorious for injuries and teams not being able to play with their full complement of players.

You also had the first team ever to come back from 3-1 twice to win series. Something was definitely fishy in the bubble.

Maybe it was simply the lack of home court crowd (and referee?) momentum that would have changed things for those Nuggets one way or the other. Maybe not go down 3-1 to start with or maybe the Clippers actually finish them and a lot of people get the LA-series they wanted last year.

And a 5 seed in the finals? Very unlikely outside the bubble. Maybe Miami beats Indiana but that's probably as far as they get. Could Milwaukee, Boston, or Toronto have beat the Lakers last year? We'll never know.

An 8 seed has played in the NBA Finals, but that was also a very strange year.

Also the Rockets won the championship as a 6 seed.
