NFL 2020: Week 13

Jags finally blow it in OT.

Damn, the Niners could have used a Vikings loss for the wildcard race.

I mean at this point, don't you want the 49ers to have an earlier pick? I don't see them winning a SB with so many injuries.

Mike Glennon is bad. Jags not playing Minshew is embarrassing.

I assumed Minshew was injured.

This smacks of Jay Gruden meddling. Minshew must not be "his guy".

Minshew was hurt, but this week he was healthy enough to be full-go at practice, and was made QB2 for this week.

I have no idea who is making the call. All I know is that Trent Baalke is now the Jags interim GM and I'm afraid of them making him the permanent GM.

Huh, it's almost like the universe is f-ing with you personally.

Never turn down a chance to go to the dance. All you need is your team to get hot for a few games, Foles Eagles style.

As if Gabbert going to San Francisco and replacing Kaepernick wasn't proof enough of that.

I swear to god, if GM Baalke hires Jim Tomsula to be the new Jags coach, I am quitting Jags fandom forever.

Am disproportionately irritated about SEA losing as -10.5 favorites to NYG and...Colt McCoy...at QB.

I guess that's football.

Why do I watch this thing if it's just a crapshoot?

The unstoppable New York Giants.

Please keep it up next week against Arizona!

I need the rest of the division to be so incompetent that the Giants can lose out and make the playoffs at 5-11. It's what 2020 deserves.

Whelp, Browns probably have a winning season.

That's crazy.

They were up 20, now only 6.

But they saved it recovering onside kick. Good grief

Any win you can walk away from is a good one.

I understand the draft picks will help this team down the road, but damn it's fun to see them winning. Defense looks good. It's one thing to stop Wash, Phil and Cincy. It's another to hold one of the best offenses to 12pts, keeping in mind 2 came from their punt return unit.

If Jones can come back healthy, they have a good shot to win the division.

The Hill non TD was maybe one of the most absurd actual TDs I've ever seen.

Can't really blame them for punting with 9 seconds still on the play clock but that's a new one coaches will have to consider.

Nice to see NBC getting as much mileage out of Steve Kornacki thirst Twitter as they can.

They need to get him a higher tv setup. Guy was squatting half the time. Or maybe that's what they want.

I take back what I said about draft picks. It sucks to watch your team lose, and it's fun to watch them win. It's a miserable season to be a Panthers fan, for instance, and I'm not sorry that they're off this weekend.

Good point, I was rooting for the Steelers all the way until they were eliminated in week 17 last year.

The record scratch in my head was SO LOUD it woke up the kids.

Well that escalated quickly.

Could very well be but there was also a lot of talk about him taking the HC job for the Giants years ago.

The league is a little bit better when Greggggggggg doesn't have a job.

Hopefully failing as DC on an 0-fer team means it will stay that way. He hasn't taken a job less than coordinator since, well, the Houston Oilers, with the exception of 2013 where he was a "senior defensive assistant coach" on the Titans (on a staff he had previous ties to). It's hard to imagine him taking a job as a position coach.

Go away forever Greggggggg!

I completely skipped yesterday's game; he called an all-out blitz at the end of a game, literally just needing a tackle to win?

That is AMAZING.

I unfortunately "got" to watch that game - it was as amazing to watch as you might imagine and redeemed the other 59+ minutes I sat through because I am an idiot.

I loved the call. I took the Raiders in an Elimination pool for WIP In Philadelphia. 9833 started the year, and it’s now down to me and 49 other people. Randomly, they throw a “Roadblock” game in that you need to pick along with your eliminator pick. Last week was New England vs Arizona. We went from 652 to 59, and I can only imagine 9 people took Seattle yesterday to get it down to the final 50.

The first place winner gets a Super Bowl type ring with estimated value of $12k.

I would love to be a Giants fan to win this in the heart of Philadelphia

Imagine trying to pull that against a QB as elite as Derek Carr. Of course you're gonna get smoked.

This is actually Gregggggggggggggg's second stint with an 0-fer team. He was DC in Cleveland when the Browns went 0-for-the-entire season in 2017.

I guess things are looking up when he shi!tcanned before the end of the season and not promoted to interim head coach like he was in Cleveland.

Yeah, in Cleveland they didn't seem to see him as the problem. Which, given they were 14th in total defense, maybe was reasonable.

The Jets are 29th in total defense. Opponents are holding the ball for over 3 minutes per drive, and are scoring on over 46% of drives (10% more than vs the 2017 Browns).

And the defense has been getting worse over the course of the season. The first 4 weeks, they only gave up over 400 yards once (and just barely: 404). They've now done it 5 more times over the past 8 games.

You could say he was a coordinator on a failed team in Cleveland, but in New York he was an active part of the failure.

Man, things have really pivoted since the early part of the season, when the Niners played the Giants and Jets back-to-back and the Jets were the less bad team, and mostly thanks to Gregggggg's D.

ouch, concussion in back to back weeks for Joe Haden. Get well

Almost as injured as the 49ers now.

72 Dolphins champagne night.

The Cardinals must have been like, "You guys want to watch your playoff hopes die on our field? Sure, come on over!"

Thirsty people, rejoice, because you're getting more Kornacki on SNF.
