NCAA Basketball 20-21 Catch-All

I thought it was something like 12-14 days? But yes, either way, postponing a little bit. But they won't because CBS can't have the Masters and Final Four the same weekend.

Yes saw the video on twitter. Ejection well deserved. Florida coach looks like an idiot for arguing.

That's UTs new AD's brother, too.

Fulkerson getting elbowed.

Omar Payne shouldn't be able to play in the NCAA tourney, IMO.

Really lucky this game didn't go off like that Kansas/Kansas State game last year. Fulky's the heart of that team. Barnes and White at least got the players under control.

Yves Pons with I think 8 blocks for the Vols. Freak athlete.

Damn. I thought they might pull off another miracle in the 2nd half, but just too many mistakes. I will say I felt the officiating was a bit... off... at times. There were some clear missed calls that might have changed the outcome, but it is what it is. 3rd game in 3 days against a fully rested opponent, and it just wasn't meant to be.

Silver lining, maybe this moves us off the 8 line and back to a 9 in a different bracket than Gonzaga.

Yeah that was a repeat of last game, until UNC got the lead. Then FSU answered.

Some good close games tonight. I've been flipping around to everything.

Even when FSU answered, UNC was keeping in it. But boy I wish we could have a do-over on some of those foul shots from the first half. Man.

Colorado putback dunk game winner!

Pac 12 after dark delivers.

This morning, Stadium is reporting that the NC A&T staff member that tested positive Thurs has now tested negative 3 times. So they may have ended their season over a false positive test.

Going to be another layer to the story this next week.

Oof, That's a sad turn of events for them. Can you imagine if Kansas, Duke, or UVA ended up reporting the same? Missing out on their conference tournament games due to bad info?

I suspect we'll see more of this in the NCAA tourney also.

I see the injured Tennessee player is out for the remainder of the SEC tournament.

Yep. Concussion and facial fracture. Hope he comes bake for the NCAA tourney with a Lambier mask.

Pons wore one last year IIRC.

Fulky put out a nice tweet saying to have grace toward the UF player, who apparently apologized. Very nice gesture. However, I think the league should still suspend for some games to send the message this can't be tolerated.

Fans should stay off the guy, though.

I see Duke has graciously acknowledged that if called on, they would play in the NCAA tournament. So magnanimous of them, don't you think?

Michigan injury last night may have cost them today too.

Down go my Vols. Wanted FULKDEMPTION.

Wow. Iona wins conference tournament as 9 seed. Rick Pitino dancing again. One of 3 coaches to take 5 schools to big dance.

Feels pretty weird.

SDSU takes the sweep, winning the conference title and the tournament title.

Georgetown steals a bid with an absolute trouncing of Creighton. Yeesh.

Thought Memphis was on track to head to a championship game but collapsed in the final seconds.

Second longest winning streak I think I heard today. 14?

Not quite as good as our 26-game winning streak last year, but yes.

Georgia Tech wow.

Cards owned them by 20 on Feb 1. Now they're ACC champs.

They looked like an entirely different team. FSU has been turnover prone recently, and they capitalized on it. Alvarado is a complete pest, but they were the better team tonight. I didn't expect it, but that was a convincing performance.

Colorado, best FT shooting team ever... has their worst night, may blow their season FT record. And loses.

And that little sh*t from Oregon St hugged a defender and flopped into a foul with 5 seconds left. That was some of the dirtiest sh*t I've ever seen. Didn't have much of a dog in the fight but I hate cheaters. f*ck him, and f*ck them, and I hope they lose by 50 next week.

Just going to pop in to praise my wife's team.

Go Bucks!

One more bid steal on the docket today, Cincinnati v Houston. Last 4 in teams should be nervous, I think.

Yes, we are.

It's weird, some have Syracuse and Louisville as last 4 in, others have you as Last-4-byes as a 10 seeds. It seems likely that UNC ends up as a 9 seed with the dubious honor of facing off against Gonzaga, Baylor, Michigan, or Illinois, should they manage to win the first round game.

I guess we won't know until tonight! Here's hoping Houston takes care of business.

Yeah I think nobody really knows.

This season is so weird, with so many games canceled. Really Louisville was 3rd-5th best team in ACC. But so many missed games, we ended dropping to 7th for tournament. We gave GT their worst loss of the season right before our second pause. We have beat VaTech 18 times in a row, but they canceled the game the last week of season for contact tracing, not even a positive test. We flew to Syracuse and then canceled. They flew to Louisville, and then game canceled. So much strange stuff like that.

So in some of the rankings we're behind Duke, even though we had a better conference and overall record, and beat them 2 out of 3. But everyone has them clearly out, and us (mostly) clearly in. It's odd.

Strength of record is one I'm seeing tossed around and Louisville is top 30 or so in that, and no one has ever been left out that high. But heck, we were 36 RPI or something in 2018 and maybe only one team ever had been left out that high, and we still got left out. So... sh*t happens.

I think this morning it was 108 of 117 brackets at bracket matrix had Louisville in. But the guy/site who is #1 in accuracy the last couple seasons moved us out of the field this morning. So... who knows? 3 more hours to sweat.

Fingers crossed for the cards!

And of course, we're all just collectively holding our breath with regards to the bubble preparation in Indianapolis... A positive test or 2 there and we could be looking at a significant collapse. I wish they'd left more of a time-gap between the tournaments, or end of season and conf tournaments. Just seems like TV inventory commitments or scheduling was involved in keeping most of the games locked into the normal time-frames.

I know the NCAA really can't afford to let this tournament not happen again this year, but it sometimes feels like the money is the primary cause of action and that the mental/physical health of the players and teams is a somewhat distant second.

Overtime? Now?

Come on B1G, we're not here for you

Wow. Louisville snubbed again? I guess those two stolen bids pushed the Cards out.
