Update: The final weekend for International Gamers With Jobs Days 2020 is nearly upon us!
Original Thread found here: International GWJ Days 2020
For planned community games and events, there’s always a chance folks may not turn up or may trickle in at the very last second unannounced. Some may not commit until they know which day and time. There will likely be people just milling about looking for games to play. I would suggest setting a specified date and time in the sign-up spreadsheet now so folks know when to commit. Alternatively, you can also try switching over to the Discord and use the Apollo scheduler to generate interest.
For game players looking for games last minute, I would also strongly recommend cruising the #apollo-events channel as well as the On Demand Voice channels on our Discord throughout the weekends.
As someone who has scheduled plenty of events in the past where too few people show or no one shows up at all, don’t take low turnout it to heart! I find it’s good to always have a plan B in place that you almost want to do more than the thing you’re planning, so keep an eye on games going on around the same time to see if there’s something you can shift to, as well.
In addition to the groups and play dates folks are forming via this spreadsheet or over on our Discord, we’ll also have some folks streaming to the GWJ twitch channel! if you’d like to stop by and hang out, the following streams are currently on the schedule (Central Time):

If any new events pop up, we’ll be adding them to the schedule on the Gamerswithjobs About Page on Twitch, so check back regularly there to see whose streams you'd like to check out! If any new events pop up, I'll be sure to add them here to the post.
Thanks again everyone for your interest, hard work, and enthusiasm. We hope to see you in game!

So excited to see everyone today! I love you all.
I had fun! A howdy hey to everyone I missed. Kept hitting wrong button and leaving chat...
Putting out feelers and tweets to see if anyone out there has never played before but is looking to learn some Dungeons & Dragons! MotleyWizard is offering to run a convention 1-shot for beginners to learn the system for approximately 2 hours sometime this next weekend. Not recommended for experienced players! Please see the Online TTRPG tab in the sign up spreadsheet.
hey why didn't I think of that Oh well - highly recommend giving it a go if you've never tried it before.
inactive here until further notice.
Yeah got a toddler and newborn and... maybe next year during nap time.

I'm looking forward to the second weekend of IGWJDs!
I'll be joining in for some Root (Digital Edition), Wreckfest, Among Us, and MotleyWizard's 1-shot D&D
Currently playing: Remnant II, Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr, Invisible, Inc., Against the Storm, Panzer Corps 2
I've never tried D&D, and have always wished I started when I had the chance years ago. I've signed up for MotleyWizard's event and created an account on D20. Now, to make sure I have a mic and figure out how discord works. If I can't get it all together today, I'll remove myself from the signup so someone else can join in my place.
I'm glad this is going on, and I hope more events like this will happen. pyxi, you should totally do one too! I've always wanted to give D&D a try, but haven't had a comfortable opportunity. It's a bit intimidating, but it always sounds like so much fun.
Edit: I think I've got everything squared away to join this event, but something has come up and I'm not sure I'll be able to make the time slot. I've removed myself from the signup to make room for someone else. If something changes, I'll check back in to see if I can join.
