Edit: Now, whenever they inevitably get around to making Zhongli and Venti archon outfits, that will probably be a very different story.

Yeah, I get that. I'm already missing the usual skin on occasion as I'm exploring around - but it's nice to have options. Also this is the week I hit AR50 and got my first charter, Jean, to level 90 and got my first character, Jean, to level 10 friendship, so indulging in the new skin felt like a good way to celebrate.

BTW, I've got Jean invited to my Teapot world. I think she should be there when others visit it even if I'm not logged in (?) if anyone wants to check out the skin in game.

Yeah, I just haphazardly threw a bunch of characters into my teapot checking in this morning. I didn't have time to actually play or think about anything though, but they're there now!

I'm curious to see if like the animals, they'll roam around a bit, or it it's possible to have them sit on any of the furniture you've placed. That would be a lot cooler than them just standing there like mannequins.

It DOES look like the load limit was increased by just about exactly the amount needed to add a single character to an area, except for the smaller interior rooms, which don't seem to have that much. So, a nice boost, but not nearly what I was hoping for.

Yeah, they didn't increase the load limit by too much. I put together a set that is liked by both Jean and Rosaria and placed in my my realm before inviting the characters, and I had to remove a bunch of stuff to get the new set, Jean and Rosaria all placed. But each character gave me 20 primogems for my efforts so I guess it was worth it.

A second Klee in 24 rolls! I think I've pushed my luck as far as it goes...

That is over the course of 70 wishes (started at 46 wishes from 50/50).

I feel like I'm never making headway on my trees and rocks in my teapot. Now I'm chasing the new sets to please my characters and receive gifts from them! So many new things to buy!

Also, the steps to get the new recipe from Wangshu Inn cracked me up.

Is that a website you're using to get your history of wishes? That looks infinitely better than what they provide in-game (at the very least, they should make the in-game history have 10 wishes per page, instead of 6 to make it easier to count where you're at with pity).

Yes, it is Genshin Wishes, which was one of the first wish trackers, made not long before launch players hit the 6-month limit on wish history.

There's also Paimon.moe, which tries to be more of a character one-stop-for-all.

Now, if the leaker/theorycrafter community could sort out whether she'll be decent as a support, that would probably seal the books on Kazuha for now -- after all, I do have Venti fully leveled as well as a C6 Sucrose I could level if I wanted a second anemo support -- and probably even Ayaka. All three have pretty great aesthetics, but floppy fireworks boy lady probably wins for me.

Also, leakers have put together a showcase for Sayu (four star Jean, basically) -- also looks pretty cool, and significantly less creepy than the other characters with the child body type:

Yeah, I like those. It looks like her skill infuses auto attacks with pyro for a limited time. If that transfers to swapped characters, you could probably do some cool stuff with Xinqiu, Fischl, Kaeya, Rosaria, and a few others. Her burst looks like a straight nuke though, so she'd probably need some extra utility outside her skill to be a decent support unless it does more it appears.

Sayu looks fun too. I want to use her for the Sonic spin alone.

She's not fully up in the Honey database yet, but assuming the early leaked skill translations are anything close to correct, it's actually a bit more interesting than that -- her skill looks like a burst damage mode for her (ie, like Childe or Hu Tao), but then her burst attack is a deployed attack that explicitly needs to be activated by other team members.

Ryukin Kumomagusa
Yoimiya follows her own creation, the Ryukin Kumomagusa and leap into the air, firing firework arrows in front of her, dealing AOE pyro dmg and tag one of the enemy hit with Ryukin Flare

When part members (excluding Yoimiya herself) hit an enemy under the effect of Ryukin Flare with their normal attack, charged attack, plunge attack, elemental skill and elemental burst, an explosion will occur dealing AOE pyro dmg.
If an enemy under the effect of Ryukin Flare was defeated, the Ryukin Flare will be transferred onto another enemy nearby and will continue from the remaining duration. Ryukin Flare will only explode every 2s. When Yoimiya is defeated, the effect of Ryukin Flare generated by Yoimiya’s skills will also disappear.

Constellations
C1: Increase the duration of Ryukin Flare by 4s. Additionally, when an enemy is defeated under the effect of Yoimiya’s own Ryukin Flare, Yoimiya’s attack will increase by 20%, this lasts for 20s.

C2: Delivering fire with a million lanterns - When Yoimiya’s pyro dmg causes a crit, she will gain an additional 25% pyro dmg bonus in the next 6s. Yoimiya will still gain this effect even if she is off-field.

C4: The experience of a fireworks professional - When Yoimiya’s own Ryukin Flare causes an explosion, the CD duration of Flame blazing dance is decreased by 1s.

C6: Potential flow of the stars - During the Flame blazing dance, when Yoimiya uses her normal attack, there is a 40% possibility that an additional flame arrow will be fired, dealing 50% of the original damage. This dmg is regarded as a normal attack dmg.

Her ascension talents were translated elsewhere in a screen cap. Basically her first ascension makes it so her damage increases for each hit during her burst mode, and the second makes her burst skill buff atk for the rest of the team, scaled based on how many stacks of the ascension 1 buff she built up.

So, in an odd way quite similar in play style to Hu Tao (except without having to manage stamina during burst mode), and with more interesting interactions with her team when she's swapped out waiting for her skill cooldown.

That does sound interesting. I'll be eager to see her in action outside Mihoyo's showcases.

I am partial to bow users, and I will have skipped at least four 5* banner characters by the time she's released, so the odds of me caving for her are high.

I'm really wishing the new event area wasn't a limited time thing. Day one was pretty much unlock the fog, then let Jean yeet every monster into the water, but day two unlocks a lot of new puzzles, chests, collectables, etc. and I'm having a lot of fun just exploring the map again. I think I've got 15 or so conchs so far- over halfway to getting the Barbara skin- not that I've raised her or anything, but soon I'll have two outfits to choose from if I ever do.

Same. Even though they haven't done much with Dragonspine, and I don't go there much except for a few daily commissions and two artifact areas, I like being able to revisit when the urge strikes.

The archipelago will be around for another 35 days. Hopefully that'll be enough to feel satiated exploring it. I'm creating a YouTube playlist of guides from taka gg that I'll go through near the end to see if I've missed anything important.

Looks like I misread/misunderstood. The archipelago is only around another 15 days. That's considerably less.

For a while I was stuck on only getting 2 stars on floor 7-2 of the Abyss, and didn't want to advance to floor eight until I got all stars on floor seven. Tonight I got that last star for floor seven, then took on floor eight- and I got all 9 stars on my first attempt!

Woo. I can finally see what challenges await in the last 4 floors. However, I'm holding off until Monday to attempt anything further, since I'm at my weekly limit for points I can earn in the battle pass, and so if I gain just 2 more stars that would be a waste of a lot of battle pass XP for gaining a total of 12 stars in the Abyss.

The event and BP-period missions (12 stars and 50 wishes) don't count toward your weekly limit, its only the weekly and daily that have a limit so you can complete them anytime, you don't have to wait till Monday.

So the leaks say that Mihoyo is going to continue the trend of giving us a free four-star character every other patch. This time it will be an event that gives us Beidou. We are also looking at Ayaka on the first banner of the next patch, with Yoimiya and Sayu on the second.

And so the trend of only adding fire or cyro five-star females to the continues for another patch... I'm almost expecting Yae, Sara, Kokomi, and the Electro Archon to all be changed to one of those two elements before release!

Thanks, I didn't realize that. I gave floor nine a try today. 9-1 was fine- got 3 stars (and got the Battle Pass XP). First half of 9-2 was good as well, but the second half of 9-2 was painful- exited out without finishing because I was heading for a complete wipeout.
