NFL 2020: Week 1

Bisky gets to keep his job another week.

God I'm going to hate being a Panthers fan. 4th and a foot and they don't give it to McCaffrey. Ugh what a way to lose

Geez what happened to Philly?

Apparently the answer is, "Ryan Kerrigan, Chase Young, and Da'Ron Payne sacked the sh*t out of Wentz".

8 sacks by the Football Team, damn.

Bears come back to beat the Lions, Lions rookie RB DeAndre Swift gets the game-winning TD pass thrown right into his hands . . . and he drops it.

Welcome to the NFL, rookie.

That’s what happens when your entire OL is basically injured. Then the new guys get injured during the game.

Tom Brady in a Buccaneers uniform is the strangest football thing I've ever seen.

And QB sneak for a TD

49ers with the quick 75 TD. Nice.

Touchdown Brady!

To Saints CB Janoris Jenkins. 24-7, and the most talented offense in the NFL is going through some things.

I see Tom Brady has gray hair and throws ducks.

I can only imagine Belichick enjoying the hell out of an adult beverage right now.

There's the classic Brady 45 yard defensive PI play.

Huh? That doesn't register at all. He throws 45 yards like 4 times a year.

Can someone explain how crowd noise on TV is working? Crowd noise in an empty stadium is jarring.

It wasn't like that on the other games. It's very weird.

Well some stadiums are doing crowd noise for the first time. Others have... more experience with it.

Is Leonard Fournette actually Trent Richardson but with his head shaved?

They talked about it on pregame shows today. 75 decibels is the limit for crowd noise in stadiums.

TB is the ONLY stadium playing today that actually has fans. So in theory there's not as much artificial noise there?

In some games, it doesn't even sound like the announcers are trying to talk over the fake crowd noise.

I'm not watching but I thought that was the Jags?

The Jags broadcast keeps coming back from commercial to hot mics, but since Spero Dedes and Adam Archuleta aren't Thom Brennaman, it hasn't been a problem.

In the aftermath of that, if you're still dumb enough to get caught at any point this season, you should get double-fired.

Holy sh*t, Bungles.

I generally only watch football during the playoffs and haven’t watched any today but wanted to say:

I live in MA. Someone save me from the radio takes tomorrow morning about how the Pats never needed Brady.

They won't, at least on 98.5.

But this is just a continuation of Brady from last year. Plan A is great but he is certainly starting to struggle when the play breaks down.

From what I watched, it seemed like it was basically the PI show on both sides; both defenses got flagged for a number of questionable defensive PI calls. I guess when it's The Greats the refs would appreciate it if nobody played pass defense?

RedZone's intro and outro ad is still for the most recent season of The Expanse like last season and JFC a lot has happened since then.

Oh you might be right. It was one of the Florida teams.

I would like to point out for the record that I was always skeptical about this Bucs team.

It feels like years ago since we saw Marshawn in West World.

You were hardly alone in that sentiment.
