Total non-sequitur, I just enjoy seeing how the UK reacts to snowfall.

no matter how bad this year has been there always seems to be something to make it all a little worse.

Millwall fans booed players 'taking the knee' in support of racial equality yesterday.

You like the say these things are a one off, but really it's usually Millwall. At least you'd hope that's 2000 fans they can happily ban from ever being associated with the club again.

Also, This is apparently now a straight red card. VAR is making football a non-contact sport.

Kicking out with studs to opponents groin? Pretty sure that's always been a straight red if caught.

He... Uh... Good.

Every time Son bangs one in like that, I feel like I need more of his jerseys than the five I already have.

He's been great forever, but I still don't feel like it's widely perceived that he's absolutely world class. I wouldn't trade him or Kane for anyone. It's a joy to watch.

For anyone who doesn't know, they are closing in on the most Prem goals ever where one partner assisted the other. The record is held by Lampard and Drogba IIRC, and Kane/Son added two to their tally yesterday.

Also, as of yesterday Harry Kane has scored more goals in North London Derbies than anyone else.

Didn't mention this but, I feel that it would've been completely appropriate to just grab Vardy and tackle him and take the red. Not sporting, but you keep the point.

Also would have saved that poor corner flag.

I just hope they don't get any long lasting injury. Not sure if the team can handle being without one of them.
I wasn't confident having Mourinho as the manager, but he's proving me wrong this year. Let's see how it ends.

Star of the best World Cup game of my youth, Paolo Rossi has died.

Petition for the game to be immediately suspended.

Stop the count!

Dangit.

Will take a point.

You played well and deserved the point! I wish I could tell what is and is not a penalty these days - I thought Fabhino got the ball but on the other hand our penalty was incredibly fortunate - another penalty that wouldn’t have been a penalty without VAR.

I think the injuries and schedule are taking their toll a little now on the Liverpool players. I suspect the Spurs match on Wednesday will be a ‘we’ll both take it’ deathly dull draw.

Blessings upon Fulham during this holiday season! How fitting for the tied top teams to be facing off to potentially break the tie.

Go to hell Arsenal, because that win lets Burnley leap over us and out of the relegation places. We drew with Liverpool, and all you had to do was NOT LOSE TO BURNLEY.

Anyone else feel like some of our image and video links have been broken for years?

RIP to Gerard Houllier.

And even Arsenal's women's team lost a heartbreaker. Bad day to be a gooner.

Gutted to hear about Houilier, he lifted Liverpool at a time when the club was slowly starting to hibernate into a sleeping giant. What a shame.

Champions League Draw

B. Monchengladbach v Man City. Should be comfortable for City, but it’s the CL so City will probably go out.

Lazio v Bayern. Comfortable for Bayern I would think.

Atlectico Madrid v Chelsea. Expect Chelsea to go out with Fat Frank bitterly complaining about Atlectico’s tactics and Simeone laughing in his face

Leipzig v Liverpool. To close to call this one. No idea

Porto v Juventus. Gotta keep one of Messi or Ronaldo in the competiton I guess

Barcelona v PSG. With Barcelona in free fall I suspect PSG are very happy with this draw

Sevilla v Dortmund. Dortmund?

Atalanta v Real Madrid. Tough for Real but I suspect they’ll sneak through. Atalanta will give them a real run for their money though.

I watched the last 60 minutes of the Fulham-Liverpool match yesterday. It's the best I've seen Fulham look in the Premier League. Relatively solid on defense and lots of energy on the counter. But most impressive and totally unexpected was the creativity, energy, and ball movement when Fulham possessed the ball in Liverpool's end. Fulham looked quite good. If they can make that sort of play the norm rather than the exception, they'll stay up.

I have a feeling Gladbach will be a very tough cookie for M.City.

Kudos for Gladbach's twitter reaction, though.

Man City have failed to beat West Brom tonight. The Premier League is back on to weird mode again

Stat of the day:

272 Premier League matches were played at Highbury, Arsenal's old ground. Todays match against Southampton is the 273rd to be played at the Emirates.

Holy crap, I'm old.

When did it open? I imagine Highbury hosted many pre-PL matches? Emirates was about 2001, right?

Also, Arsenal are 15th in the table? WTF bizarro world is this?

EDIT: HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! WALCOTT OF ALL PEOPLE!!!!

ALSO: BIG SAM?! EMBRACE THE CRAZY!

Delightful that this got Bilic fired.

Ah Jose Mourwhino, if your entire tactic against a big side is to park the bus and then hit on the counter, you can’t complain when the dominant side break that bus and score an 87th minute winner.

If Spurs had attacked more it might have been a 4-3 classic, but god knows who would have won.

I'm not sure if this was the plan or at what happened. Liverpool were extremely composed and in control in the midfield. We had some great chances, and had Bergwijn not hit the post, or Kane not headed the ball down so hard that it bounced over the goal, we'd be talking about a different result.

Y'all were better today, so congrats, and well deserved.

I will say my main man Son scored again, as he does nearly every game he starts.
