After playing New Leaf for a bit to remind myself how much I enjoy the series and letting my boy loose in my town I think we'll be getting a copy to play between us on the same switch.
It would be nice to have our own islands, but might be equally cool to just have our own characters sharing the same land.
Will buy physical to see if this works out.
I think I need to name my island Misadventure.
I'm not sure I need this new version right now, as am really enjoying getting back into New Leaf. Have played pretty much every day for the last few weeks. Not sure I'd play quite as much on the less portable Switch. It's helping me to appreciate the 3DS again, ability to pop in pocket and grab few minutes of gameplay here and there when able. That's just so well matched to Animal Crossing style of play.
I was messing around in pocket camp and I kept seeing people with face masks. At first I thought this was weird. But since this is a fantasy world I figure it makes a strange kind of sense since you cant get those in the real world currently.
Now I am wondering what impacts this may have on my island when the game drops.
Man, reviews are astoundingly positive and saying this is a BotW reinvention of the series.
My wife is counting down the days.
Oh no, will I need to pick this and a new console up in this time of quarantine?
I have ordered it for my son. He has started counting the days until release even though he never really plays games for long but hey it will be fun for him for awhile.
I've only played one Animal Crossing game before (I don't remember which one), and didn't get very deep into it (upgraded my house a couple of times?)... but suddenly the thought of playing a super-chill mundane game sounds pretty good.
I'm just planning to buy it digitally and use it on the apparently old-fashioned Switch I already have.
I wasn’t planning on getting the new Animal Crossing, because although I like the series, with limited gaming time I usually find myself wanting to play something heavier and quit playing after like a month. But all the positive buzz is maybe pulling me in.
I guess I’m a sucker for hype sometimes.
I'm mostly interested in how they've reinvented some of the more annoying bits of the game.
I probably won't be buying the game at launch since I put a bunch of money into moving at the end of next month, but damned if I don't really want to spend a lot of time in a cheery place.
Same and same, garion333.
I really want AC, but I have barely touched Zelda BotW or DQ XI.
And I got Xenoblade Chroincles 2 from the library just before it closed.
Those should eat up a few hundred hours.
Eurogamer Essential. Can't wait. Getting two copies.
Everyone in my house has been waiting for this game for years. All four of us have our own Switch, so we’ll be getting four copies of the game Friday. Thankfully the girls are grown and working so they are buying their own, just have to cover the other two for my wife and I. With her not working because the schools are closed that will help. Thankfully I have a job where I can work from home indefinitely if need be, so we’ll probably be spending a lot of time on each other’s islands over the next few weeks.
They made her a wolf, which has all kinds of Red Riding Hood implications.
It's been a long time between AC drinks for me, last played whatever the one on the DS was. I'm not even sure what's changed in all that time. Looking forward to chilling out in this one during my downtime.
I'm lacking in Switch friends so please add me.

Getting trees of every type is one of my primary goals the first weekend.
I added my friendcode and an AC column to the Switch sheet. Friend me up, fellow islanders!
