Animal Crossing: New Horizons

I'd like to be playing on most days, but I still haven't taken time to replace my left joystick yet. Need to do that soon so I don't miss all the Halloween stuff.

Anyone got a break-even turnip price? I've been on a downward spiral all week and am hoping to avoid a loss!

Loving the new Halloween stuff!

I’m wondering the same thing. I need to sell today.

Turnips are 91 on my island right now. I doubt that's a break-even price for most people though.

I've only played a couple times in the past month but I had a lot of fun today fiddling with the different skin/eye colors they added for Halloween. And putting in the obligatory pumpkin patch!

Don't forget the candy if you want Jack's outfit and all the DIYs. You can only buy one candy per day.

Same. I'm now green and wearing the mummy costume. It's kinda cool. Growing lots of pumpkins too for all the new DIYs.

Anyone still interested in shooting stars? Isabelle announced a meteor shower tonight.

I have 526 on turnips today if anyone wants to score big. The story is only open for 90 minutes, though. I just caught it. Reply or DM if you want to sell.

I need to check in here more often.

Edited: Claimed!

I have Cookie in boxes. If anyone wants her let me know and I'll open my gates.

Greeting islanders! I just bought this to play with my son a few weeks ago and we're having fun. Just had our first meteor shower last night and I invested in turnips for the first time on Sunday.

I'm trying to figure out if I'm meant to sell this morning. So far this week the prices have been
Monday - 84/80
Tuesday - 75/71
Wednesday - 104/131
Thursday - 181/

Should I be expecting a fourth increase with this pattern or should I sell while the selling is good? This doesn't seem to fit the very well for either the small or large spikes I've read about. Hopefully I can make enough money from this to pay for our next building expansions.

I just came back to my island after a long break and had my first experience with an intended island. Took a while to clean back up but got some pumpkins planted in the process

Peanut, there's a price calculator in the first post. Plug those numbers in and it will tell you if you're going up or if that is your peak.

Thanks, didn't see that. turnipprophet is 100% confident I'll have my highest price for the week tonight, so I'll go with that.

Edit:
The prophet was correct. Price went up a bit to 186.

My kid's island is buying at 488 tonight. If ppl are interested, I'll set up a dodo code.

I am definitely interested.

Buying turnips at 488 bells.
Dodo Code: 9YFRY

Connor just reset, so any extra DIYs are welcome.

I'll keep it active as long as I can. We're in Eastern/New York timezone

Thanks, RedJen. I dropped of the only DIY I had. I also restarted recently. I left some fruit in case Connor needs other fruit types to plant. Please tell Connor thanks and thank you!

Thanks to you and Connor, RJ! I dropped some spare DIYs.

Anyone got good prices this week? My daughter is holding 30 turnips and our island isn't being cooperative.

I'm stuck in a fluctuating pattern this week, so I won't be able to sell for over 142 according to turnipprophet. I too would be interested in a good price.

Yeah, based on what I see, we might top out at 150ish.

Has anyone gotten art from popping balloons? Is it ever genuine?

Anyway, I now have a fake Rock-head Statue that I don't need, in case anyone else wants it. It would be a stunning addition to your fake art park, if you've been building one.

Guaranteed 1000 turnip prices from Ally bank cross promotion for a couple more days.

Everyone should buy a full load today.

Won’t the island just be instantly full? I remember that time someone here opened their island and put the Dodo code on Twitter. It was painful.

This is a dream code instead of a Dodo code, so maybe those are instanced?

Through here: https://turnip.exchange/ally/

But good luck making this happen. It's a queue to get into the actual queue to fly to the island. The actual queue is 30 people big. For the entire internet. The exchange is not being done via Nook, but rather by hand. Which means you get a Dodo code, go there, drop your turnips, then an Ally bank rep gives you the bells. So the entire thing is both time consuming and one person at a time. Which means about 30 to 40 people per time slot. I hope Ally Bank doesn't actually run their business like this.

or

If one visitor spends 20+ minutes there, that's three visitors an hour, with a queue size of 30 and 1 at a time? That's 18 people in six hours.

Please make it make sense.

Hm darn. Just skimmed the article and thought it sounded great

It did! I bought a ton of turnips. But luckily I bought at 97, so making even a small profit is likely in the normal stalk market.

I ended up using the turnip exchange to sell at 598 last week. Waited in queue for about 30 minutes and dropped a nook miles ticket as a tip.

It's no 1000 bells, but it's actually doable.
