To stay out of the Diablo thread and since the launch is eminent.
Bought this on Steam sale in 2018. Been impatiently waiting on a real launch. I am ready.
I was under the impression this wasn't turning out great.
Kickstarted it in June 2015. Expected release date October 2016. Slowest release ever.
I was under the impression this wasn't turning out great.
My impression too.

Same..now i am intrigued
Well, look at the video. That looks pretty good to me. I enjoyed the uniqueness of the counterbalanced dual resource system but it didn't play as well as I suspected. The videos all make it look like it works seamlessly so I am hopeful.

Yes, agree but I am hesitant since Chaosbane is a crappy ARPG and I got burned on that one. Not drawing comparisons, just walking into this one instead of running to buy.
At least this one is not $70 like Chaosbane was. On sale right now for $30. I hate Chaosbane and yes, I spent the $70 for it.
It is no Chaosbane by a mile. (unless Chaosbane has a secret "custom" class that lets you pick any of the class skills and tweak them) Though I did find ~10 hours of fun in Chaosbane...
A good sign for this game is that the current Steam reviews seem a lot higher than the older ones.
So I'm super keen to get into this. Got a nice free weekend to myself ahead so think I'll dive into it and hopefully it's some good fun before Season 20 starts for Diablo!
Preach my friend, preach.
I am so ready for this to drop. It looks so good now.
I am getting a little hyped.
Rhykker is selling the game well
Been waiting ages too. Had an ARPG itch that's needed scratching for a long time.
I seem to be a bit picky with these games, the porridge will either be too warm or too cold, and the maddening thing is that you can be twenty hours into these things before they start to click, so it can be a bit of an investment if they're not immediately recognisably turkeys and you want to give them a fair crack of the whip.
Got my fingers crossed for this one.
I did enjoy what I played of earlier builds. Hopefully Torchlight can be saved too, frontiers bored me to tears, will have to jump back into that soon and see if it's feeling better.
Super hyped as well but we close on a house tomorrow morning so it'll be awhile before I can play. Looking forward to your impressions in the mean time!
Yeah, I'm also looking forward to impressions. Gameplay movies look chaotic, but ARPGs often do.
So, I guess 9 am pacific
No pre-patch so far. I guess we get to come home to a 10+ GB day one patch...
Looking forward to see how they have fleshed it out. I played enough to decide I like the systems, and the maps seemed fun, so I put it down. Guess it's time to pick it up again!
We highly recommend to uninstall the game completely before downloading the release version of Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem in order to avoid conflicts between files. The amount of data downloaded will be the same so you might want to prefer a clean install
Thanks for that tidbit, Shadout.
Good to know.
Lol and I just downloaded it
Inform me!
Most of these types of games have disappointed me recently. Really hoping this can stop that trend.
Seems like the download is up now. Might have to restart Steam.
Expected install size changed from 16gb to 23gb when I did that. DL is 16gb it seems. Oh well, giving it a try.
It is 16gb download with 23 gb space required for install.
Cautiously optimistic about this game, but waiting for impressions.
Also I kinda want controller support. Diablo 3 on Switch spoiled me.
Yeah, I get that. Just wasnt sure if it was the new files or not. But it was.
Servers are very very dead though.
Watching the streams...
Thanks for the heads up, shadout.
16gb. Bah. I'm used to downloading shmups and roguelites which are teeny tiny.
My internet is awful and my nephew will hit the roof if fortnite lags so I'll have to leave this going overnight and hopefully get to try it out tomorrow.
You can start it and pause when your nephew plays Fortnite. Or you know, you can tell the kid to chill for a bit and get some fresh air ;P
