NFL 2019: Week 16

The Bears win over the Vikings could be the distant variable that puts the Raiders into the playoffs.

Raiders need:
- to beat Denver
- Texans to beat the Titans
- Colts to beat the Jags (EZ)
- Ravens to beat the Steelers
- a win from one of the following:
* Lions (nope)
* Patriots (nope)
* Chargers (nope)
* Bears (yes!)

Only the 49ers can save the NFC from the least convincing 1st seed since? I'd have to go back and check to see who was the last comical #1.

Yeah I can't think of a less scary 13-3 team in a long time. But I was cheering for them to keep ahead of the Saints. Now for the Niners to keep their spot and force the Saints into playing wildcard weekend.

I’m so happy the Cowboys are saddled with Ezekiel “I’m going to sit this one out” Elliott’s contract and won’t be able to keep an important player like Byron Jones, Amari Cooper, or Dak Prescott. Until Jerry learns to let the football guys make football decisions (and lets face it, an old rich white dude ain’t changing his ways any time soon) they’ll never accomplish anything.

How is it that I'm just now learning that the Raiders have a player named Ateman with the jersey number of 88?

Backups, expected.

Raiders need them to win though, so let's get going already, RG3. Resurrect that career.

Why isn’t Tomlin selling out on the run? I’d make RG3 beat me.

Not looking good for that Raiders wildcard chance. Down by 10 to the Broncos, Texans down by 14, and Colts down by 4.

I don't know if they have a Jameis-like rally in them.

Nah they done.

But the Cowboys...

Christian McCaffrey today became only the third player to have 1,000 yards in one season in both rushing and receiving in the same season. The other two members of the 1K/1K club: Roger Craig (1985) and Marshall Faulk (1999).

The 85 Niners made the playoffs (but lost in the WC round). The 99 Rams won the Super Bowl.

The 2k19 Panthers? They lost to the Saints today by about 1,000* and will pick seventh in the 2020 draft. What a sh!t season.

* estimated; that might be low

Jacoby Brissett fumbling the game away.

Shoulda given $wag a shot.

Titans in and Henry rushing leader for the season

I just saw that Winston is finishing with 33 TDs, 30 INTs, and 5,000 yards. That is an utterly insane stat line in every possible way.

If only.

Holy $#!^ the Iggles made the playoffs.

Now I'm actually interested in the game tonight.

Well, you'll get to find out. Kitchens is out.

Was about to post this. Smart move! Hoping Giants follow suit.

Edit: Cowboys will NOT renew Garrett's contract.

Waiting all day for Sunday night...

And we get Boz on the flag!!!! Woo!

Given that SEA is depending on Marshawn Lynch to run the ball, in addition to all the other injury issues I fully expect SF to blowout SEA tonight, but then I've had the same expectation for most games this season and somehow SEA continues to win so ... who knows.

Am also expecting an SF blowout.

Love that the intro had Kam Chancellor's hit on Davis, a close up of Kam, and Lockette doing the Kam pound motion.

Too bad Kam's retired.

Beast Mode stopped on 4th and inches. How poetic.

Who puts in their backups first?

I don't understand signing him in the first place.

I definitely don't understand putting 4th and inches on his shoulders.

Trying to be too cute. Maybe get guys in football shape.

But they said he was in football shape.

Spoiler:

Muahahaahahahahaa no way in hell he is. Turbin, ya, maybe.
