There's a PSVR2 in the picture I posted! :)

Booyah! So when are we playing Demeo?

Tomorrow? Maybe? Some time after 4PM. PM me thoughts on that. I would like to try out that new pulse elite headset for chat!

The dual wireless/bluetooth source on the pulse elite headset is a gamechanger. Being able to listen to podcasts off my phone in the background while playing games is awesome. So cool.

Well crap you may have just sold me on it.

... and purchased. That feature is really cool!

(My old Playstation headset was dying, so I was starting to look for an alternative.)

Nice. Yeah. It's a rad feature, and the headset is great otherwise. I'm really happy with it.

It's recommended to put the Elite dongle on the front of the PS5 to avoid heat which can shorten its life.

Gonna try to get a Demeo game going in about 45 minutes!

The pro doesn't have a front USB-A. I could use a dongle, but I'll probably just leave it in back.

Yeah, I'll be ready at 5 PST.

Tried Death Stranding for the first time on PS5 Pro. I am very into the game setup apparently.

Anniversary Edge sold out again.

I got in the queue much better this time, only 20 min after they went on sale. Still too late. I guess I never get one.

I didn't even know they restocked it.

Today was the release day I guess. It was on the site yesterday that stock would be available at 9 Pacific. I think Edge, regular Anniversary, and maybe anniversary system?

Either way, it's all gone now.

My Edge 30th arrived today! Super cool retro box. Will post pictures later.

I know, they're crappy pictures, and the lighting is all messed up. Still, very cool controller! I've missed having bottom buttons like on my OG Xbox Elite, so that's gonna be nice. I like the nub paddles. They feel just right. I just like to map L1 and R1 to those. Too expensive... yes. I would never have got the regular Edge version. This one, however, is rad, and I'm happy to have it. I'll probably use it on PC over the Xbox Elite OG if I do a controller on PC.

The lighting works with the implied color of the plastic.

I also love that the picture is like $1500 worth of PlayStation stuff.

Exactly! I own only and precisely 6 Amiibos to provide balance. Definitely only 6.

Very jealous, buddy. But good for you. Enjoy it

I provided photographic evidence that I'm not a dirty flipper at least.

You're one of the few goodjers I've met face to face. Know you're good people

PSVR2 with horizon on sale everywhere for $349, which is $250 off. Seems like a much more reasonable price

I applaud Sony's marketing/sales teams... That price for VR2 I'm ready to hop on.. then I'm thinking.. don't I need a PS5 Pro to fully take advantage?

At the moment, almost no PSVR 2 games are improved with the Pro, and even so those improvements are minimal, to the point that many people don't even notice them. Things may change once developers are able to implement PSSR on PSVR 2 games, which Sony has said will come in the future, but at this point PSVR 2 is not a reason to get a PS5 Pro.

Beautiful enjoy it!

Excellent to hear. Moving closer to pulling the trigger.

Nope, I'm playing on a launch PS5 and don't feel like I'm missing anything.

Also there's a PC adapter for PCVR!

I'm returning my PS5 Pro. I'm satisfied with the (admittedly not enormous) upgrades enough that I would be keeping it for the many games I'm still planning on playing.

But there's a bug, possibly only in my unit, that is making PSVR2 unplayable. As soon as I launch a game, connectivity for my Sense controllers drops to garbage. It's overwhelmingly obvious immediately. I've tried a bunch of troubleshooting, spent time with PlayStation tech support, etc. They wanted me to send it in for repairs that would take 2-4 weeks and I decided I'd rather just return it while I'm still in the free full refund window.

I might pick up another Pro in coming weeks/months, and see if it was possibly just my one unit (since I've seen *nobody* online mentioning this problem, I think it could just be mine). But I'm not in a big rush. I'm still keeping my removable drive anyway, since those are sold out everywhere, just in case I do grab one.

Maybe this'll be a useful cautionary tale to somebody out there, since PSVR2 Sense connectivity is the *only* thing I've found that was faulty. It's possible it's a very specific software bug, but even then I don't trust Sony to get around to fixing something so rare.
