2020 NBA Catch-All: The Great Bubble Experiment

Lol

Ha! You have to give him props for being quick.

Put this right next to Austin Rivers calling for a tech on his dad in the 2019 NBA Best Of video.

The Knicks are 4-20, and I'd like to just end their season now.

Giannis gives me so much joy (Victim: Robin Lopez. Tag Team Partner: Wes Matthews).

Kawhi returns to Toronto, gets his ring, and Raps have their 4th loss in the last 5 games...

Raptors are in a slump.

Right when Lowry and Ibaka got back to. Hmmmmm...

Wowza

Is it just me or is anyone else noticing a trend with refs waiting to see if the ball goes in before calling a foul?

Ten years ago it would be surprising to hear a late whistle. Now it seems like 30%-50% of shooting fouls are called after the ball hits the rim.

That has been normal for a long time. I have not noticed any more lately than usual.

yes I've noticed and it frustrates me to no end

After watching that Houston game vs the Clippers on Thursday, I don't think they are going anywhere in the playoffs. Westbrook is still the same ball hog inefficient player, he just had so many bad plays I lost count. 1st or 2nd round exit.

Also the Lakers looked off, like they were tired or something. I know Davis was hobbled but overall I expected them to look better. Maybe getting two days off and then a home game will help them.

End of a long road trip, yet still play an injured AD 43 minutes, Bron 37, Green 35, and C-Pope 34 to avoid getting blown out by Milwaukee, who played no one over 33 (Lopez) and Giannis played 32. The whole narrative from LAL was that it was a regular-season game and didn't matter. Box score sure doesn't support that narrative. LAL also looks different when they face strong defensive teams. They need a knockdown shooter in a bad way. Curious to see who ends up with Reddick.

NBA 2k20 is on sale for the holidays, if anyone is interested. I picked it up on PS4 this year, so happy i did. I love the Switch but its just so much more fluid on the more powerful system (go figure!)

The NBA 2K games are still great, as long as you never, ever engage with any parts of the game that would require microtransactions. Which is basically Franchise Mode.

'19 toned down the microtransactions quite a bit, at least for me, I could just grind my way to more virtual currency. I never spent any additional money, for any mode. Hopefully '20 continues that trend.

Franchise mode doesn’t involve VC much. MyPlayer and the card team stuff are where it is thick.

I mean, I guess I agree? There's plenty of VC to be earned by, you know, playing in games for your team? If you don't like that kind of grind, i guess you can pay for vc but it's not necessary.

Super happy to see Zion out there tonight. I really hope he stays healthy, but man, looking at him, I have to wonder if his critics have a point and he's just too big to play basketball.

Here's a pretty good video of that wild run

He might need to work on some defense.. but it was impressive to see his shooting touch.

He hit more 3s in 18 minutes than Ben Simmons has in 3 seasons. 4 to 2.

He's a player who made his name as a high-flyer, yet he gets about 2 inches off the ground on those 3's. It's delightful.

Late reply, but they treat this the same way, that, like, War Thunder does. Which is to say, yes, you absolutely can grind your way to the VC needed to get all the fun bells and whistles...

....assuming you want to play the game for like 8 hours a day, every day. It's possible, it's just obviously far faster to pay for it, which is the hustle.
