2020 NBA Catch-All: Offseason

This was a fun Raptors team. Celtics were clearly better and deserved to win, but the Raps ground it out.

I’m proud to cheer for that team. The last two seasons have been absolute wonders. Watching the majority of American media (except Zach Lowe who’s just the best) be forced to talk about the Raptors has been a big highlight for me.

What’s the excuse for the Rockets this year? The House de-bubbling?

Hahaha. Now I can enjoy Harden-free playoffs for 2 entire rounds.

I think the fact that that's even a question points to the real problem. They're far too thin and they've been trading good assets after bad for too long. It's probably time to blow it up.

I don't see how they have an excuse. Losing a bench guy is not good, but also not a reason they lost 4-1 or why it took 7 games to get past OKC. It is poor team construction caused by player personality problems and a meddling owner, and perhaps a GM that thinks he is smarter than he really is.

I think they are going to be in 1st / 2nd round land for a while due to the two big contracts. I think they failed in developing Capela and they never should have let him go. I don't see how both Morey and D'Antoni are back next year and if they are I expect pretty much the same result.

Yeah I didnt mean to imply Miami couldn’t do it. That would be thrilling and I don’t think anything is off the table this season. Except probably the Nuggets beating the Clippers lol.

They should make me an ESPN analyst, no?

Obviously still one game to go, but the feel here reminds me of the 2013 Finals. Felt very strongly during game 6 that if the Spurs blew that lead to the Heat, that they would have a very hard time winning game 7. Feels that way with the Clippers now. Who knows though. No more predictions out of me!

WTF happened the 3rd quarter? I was score-watching because NFL and Clippers were cruising by 20. Ugh.

They can't possibly come back from down 3-1 two series in a row?

Kawhi going to be wishing he stayed in Toronto.

Nah I expect the Clippers will lock in and win game 7 by at least 10.

I do to but I can wish for just a little bit of buyers remorse from Kawhi.

First night without games in forever makes me sad.

And 2 tomorrow. Bah.

Agreed. Put my daughter to bed and my wife is out, was looking forward to settling down on the couch with some basketball on.

Overtime! This might be an interesting series.

That block was amazing!

Incredible from Bam.

Sure was. I don’t know how that doesn’t break his wrist.

Huge plays down the stretch.

Last 90 sec of regulation and 2 min of OT were spectacular basketball.

Oh boy, Clips. Oh boy. I’ve always felt PG was kinda cursed.

By cursed fo you mean, not as good as his reputation?

Kawhi thinking something no one in the NBA has thought before “I should have stayed in Toronto”.

Yo, just fire Doc Rivers now.

Wow. This is nuts. Back to back comebacks from down 3-1.

Lakers better watch out if they go up 3-1.

The Clippers slander on Twitter tonight could power all of California for a week.

I’m pretty pleased with Denver ousting the Clippers for multiple reasons.

1. Karma for the sh*t that Marcus Morris pulled in the first round.

2. Pat Beverly being misogynist.

3. A win for organic team building, which I need to believe in.

4. How can you not love Jokic’s game as a fan of the sport?

I mean they did vote to quit the playoffs a couple weeks ago. Guess they really meant it.

Because they just beat the Jazz and I love Donovan.

You’re right. The Clippers are getting roasted on Twitter. That combined with the jokes about how fun this Denver team is are making this a good Twitter night.
